There's still a chance. It's not often that a free agent signing loses his job before he even gets his name tag on the locker door. There could be many gems that slipped because they didn't have a Matt Flynn or a stupid replacement ref to award the win to the wrong team and jumpstart his career. But this is their chance.Ok, but I don't think there's been a player as good as Russell Wilson in the 3rd round (or Kirk Cousins in the 4th round) since the 2012 draft. I might be missing a guy, but especially now, good QBs come from the first round, and the hit rate is still about 50%.
Every so often you get that guy. But it's about once a decade or there abouts. Brady, of course, is the clear exception that proves the rule.
