Texans for their "down" 2024 season, won 10 games, trounced their opponent in the wild card game, and arguably lost because of a few bad ref calls against the Chiefs on the road.
The schedule looks tougher but lol don't get VOR started on that considering he thinks there is no such thing before the season starts. That's really my only concern.
I was one of the rare love Jayden AND Maye people before that draft. Loved them both on the past thread. And spent a lot of time arguing on Jayden's behalf on that QB thread especially in those last few weeks before the draft. I was in on him also during the college season. Still, I never envisioned he would be THIS good.
As we used to talk about on the old QB threads, there are some variables we can't know until it plays out. The key one is the personality, drive and work ethic of the QB and how well they see the field. From all indications Jayden is an A plus on all fronts. Super star. Sky's the limit. And what a clutch gene. wow.
Heck we even have national reporters projecting Washington to the SB next year with the narrative that we will be talking about who is better Jayden or Mahomes?
We hit the lottery and big time with Jayden. He carried the team on his back last year. When they had to win at the end of the season and in the playoffs -- the running game was basically nonexistent. we lost our #2 WR. The defense couldn't stop anyone. Yet Jayden carried them.
Only way I see a regression is if Peters unlike last year bombs this off season and Jayden takes an unexpected step back.
