Tee Higgins was officially tagged by Cincy.
I was just coming here to post that.
Also, there is no way they franchise him 3 years in a row. That means he will be a real FA next year, if things aren’t working with Deebo.

My gut is we go a different direction next year. Actually or later this year. We could still draft a WR, resign Terry, have success with Deebo and sign a guy like Slayton or Palmer and maybe even McCaffrey balls out. Possibilities are endless with AP. Feels so different than the past 2 decades, we can speak positively about the future without cringing.I was just coming here to post that.

I am fine with Slay on a 1 or 2 year gig. He is lightyears better than anyone we had opposite Lattimore last year. Everyone wants to go young. But we are going to be very restricted in draft picks this year. More trades are coming.I'm out on the 34 year old CB Darius Slay. I'd rather look at younger options, which are most every other CB.
I am in however on the 28 year old WR Darius Slayton! He and Deebo hands down trumps last years receiver corps
Who isn't light-years ahead of many of our CBs opposite Lattimore or Mikey.I am fine with Slay on a 1 or 2 year gig. He is lightyears better than anyone we had opposite Lattimore last year. Jerry is afraid he will end up in Washington with DQ, that's why the tag. Speaking of Jerry, have you seen him lately, holy shit does he look dead!Surprised at the Cowboys' plan to use the franchise tag. Didn't think they had the room to pull it off.
Brother we only have 6 picks right now. And again more trades are coming imo. We are going to have no choice about signing vets to plug holes.Who isn't light-years ahead of many of our CBs opposite Lattimore or Mikey.
Whether drafting a CB or bringing in a FA, they will be younger than Slay and more talented than what we had last year.
Regarding age, we brought a number of aged vets that worked out very well. They were there to sprinkle in with the new roster. The talk is to bring them all back. Our team is already one of the oldest in the NFL. That isn't the way to build a dynasty, which is what I'd like to see with the new regime
The narcissist would say, Jimmy didn't know how good he had it in Dallas with JerryJerry Jones never knew how good he had it with Jimmy Johnson.
That a narcissist may be but what might he say about the Barry and Jerry tandem? The narcissist would say, Jimmy didn't know how good he had it in Dallas with Jerry
Since this is the FA thread, are you suggesting we sign him for vet minimum + incentives?Jimmy just retired from Fox
That he did, Tom. He needs to enjoy retirement but then again I don't think he stays retired for long. Onto bigger and better things called the Redskins (Commanders).Jimmy just retired from Fox
Just keep in mind, Slay only wants to play one more year - this is what he said anyway.Who isn't light-years ahead of many of our CBs opposite Lattimore or Mikey.

I agree. There are a lot just in others the staff and AP are more familiar with and would probably choose over Slay. There are a lot of good CB's in FA and the draft. There are a lot of CBs I’d rather have than Slay but I would be completely fine if they signed him. I could see him going back to Detroit or home to Atlanta
