Who on the team follows the Code of The Warrior and is willing to give their lives in pursuit of the objective: the Ring and Lombardi Trophy

This is paid to play NFL football man. It's not the 101st Airborne division.

The Ring? The one the fellowship threw into the volcanoes of Mordor from whence it was forged?

Gibbs would never want that.
We need to respect the past and aspire to reach those heights again, but we don't worship those players and coaches. We don't kiss the ring. Heck, that's one of the reasons I don't like "Hail to the Commanders."

I treasure those memories and those glory days. They are not my church.

I agree - Hail To The Commanders sounds sacrilegious. Just restore the true fight song already.

Much respect to the OG’s but I’ll consider Harris’ ownership successful when every conversation about this team doesn’t have to refer back to 30-40 years ago. Teams with arguably even richer histories than ours don’t talk about their pasts nearly as often, because they’ve been good much more recently. Steelers fans don’t talk about the Bradshaw years every day. They don’t look at a LG or a WR on the current roster and only have the ability to comp them to a player from the 80’s. A lot of our fanbase is like that, right now.

Dan Snyder read this and audibly grunted.

Mat Mendenhall - did he bail on 1982 training camp because of the rigor of Bubba Tyers strength and conditioning program?

Remember the POWER RUN GAME and beating the Dallas defensive line into submission in the NFC Championship. Strength and Conditioning in the trenches.

Yeah, back when I was 9. I remember but other than Tennessee with Derrick Henry a few years ago teams just don't play that game anymore.

A lot has changed in football in 42 years. Try watching a game these days and you will see.

So maybe the offensive line and the running back should should start pounding beers after practice. Those 12oz curls had them all in superior physical condition.

Gibbs, Bubba etc had them DIALED in at work. That's why we won.

Too many years, at least recently, of non 2 a days and no hitting at training camp. The warrior mentality is cultivated or lost there.
