The team is worth what someone will pay for it. I’m pretty sure the Broncos sold for about twice their value before the sale. Potential owners are paying what they think it’s worth and what they can make on it. The team value has taken a huge hit. And the stadium is a dump. The media operation is a nightmare. There is a ton of bad things about this team. But someone will pay what they want to get the team. We would all love Snyder to get screwed in this. He wants to get as much as he wants. In the end, I don’t care as long as he sells and is gone. Whatever that person thinks they need to pay, they will pay if they really want it.

The DMV is a bigger tv market than Denver and also buyers are looking at the prospective new tv deals are going to rake in as well, so they are hedging on future value vs present value, which may be what you are stating in a different way. The stadium yes is a dump but it still holds value on the overall deal for now as the team has to play there until at least 2027 and there's the potential 200 acres in VA to consisder. It is also my belief that the prospective buyers are looking at a fan base that lets guestimate 30% left because of Snyder and may return once his ouster and of course, fielding a winning team would freakin help to.
 
But Washington also doesn't have a profitable new stadium to show off.

That has to be financed and built by the new owners. And a location has to be found in a testy local political culture where close-in construction projects meet all kinds of community resistance.

In the end Washington's franchise should be worth more than Denver's based on the demographics of the market, etc.

But because of the almost immediate obsolescence of Fedex Field when it was buit, that issue has and will continue to loom large.

Any new owner has to consider that in the deal.

It's like buying a home in a very nice area that has some structural issues. In the end the new owner can turn it around and make a nice profit, but it requires quite a bit of work to make it happen.

How much of the testy political situation is due to Snyder and only Snyder?

When has community concern ever been a considerable determiner by elected officials outside of imminent election dates?

Looks like the only shoe left to drop is whether Bezos has been waiting to swoop in and make an offer Snyder can’t refuse and the other groups can’t match? No way of knowing if his ‘interest’ has been genuine and if so just how much he is willing to spend to own the franchise.

Maybe Bezos is also waiting for the Allen family trust to put the Seahawks on the market?

Possible. But there’s been a lot of smoke surrounding the Commanders and he has done nothing to dispel the rumors.

He signed a confidentiality.

I imagine that goes both ways, we haven't heard squat from Fertitta and he just bought a casino, so i'ts likely he's out... without saying he's out.

The confidentiality MAY have been signed as a prerequisite for the Seahawks, and have never had anything to do with the Commanders.

RGIII is full of crap. When you're in this type of thing you don't talk about it. He probably called up someone and said I'd like to get in and they said we'll get back to you. I can't believe he made enough in his few years in the league to even venture into this.
 
Be a pretty tone deaf way for a new owner to start out. I think the majority of fans detest Griffin and his self-serving schtick.
