On this week's funereal episode of BGO Blind Pig, the guys are wearing their Battle Blacks along with some disgruntled frowns. We discuss Dan Snyder's latest new leading role, the victim, moan incessantly about the Commanders woeful performance in Dallas, and talk up yet another 'must win' game this Sunday against the Tennessee Titans. One of them sees a big win. But he's not the sharpest tool in the shed.

 
The team is debuting the red jerseys this week. Seems appropriate.

Reality is Taylor Heinicke shouldn't be Washington starting QB next year - DC Sports King

Washington Football Team quarterback Taylor Heinicke has shown a lot of things this season, but consistency isn't one of them.

The fumble was returned for a 37-yard touchdown. Heinicke, who is currently the 11th-most sacked QB in the league, was sacked four times. In part the offensive line can be blame. Injuries have ravaged through Washington upfront. But, Heinicke is known to hold on to the ball at times.

Just to think Dwayne Haskins was often times criticized for similar hesitancy. However, Heinicke doing the same gets overlooked. Missing open reads, getting away with wobbly throws and hesitating to throw can be glossed over in wins. However, the Heinicke hype train took a huge hit Sunday against the Cowboys.

Alex Smith dinked and dunked
Brunell didn't have arm strength
Griffin couldn't read a defense
Cousins couldn't win in clutch situations

Has there ever been a QB here we have all agreed upon? Sammy maybe?
 
Great job, fellas! I thoroughly enjoyed listening to you this morning with my coffee.

Thoughts I would have added:
- I don't want to see Howell at all this season behind this line unless it starts playing significantly better. Too many promising young QBs get thrown to the wolves in this league by playing them behind porous lines, end up shell-shocked and broken, and never recover (not sure we aren't seeing some of that with Carson now). I don't know if Howell has what it takes to make it in this league but I fear breaking him before we can even find out.
- Sunday in Dallas was a weird one. I didn't feel like the game was out of reach at any point until Dallas scored that second TD. I want to give the defense kudos but honestly, I can't. Any defense that tries to cover Lamb with a LB or lets another teams #1 WR run free in the secondary isn't particularly good.
- If Rivera's pattern holds, the best we do over the next 2 games is 1-1.
- I'm going with a Titans win this weekend. I think it will be more competitive than we have seen for the last 3 weeks - say 24-21 - but still a loss.

No, but I think we should all be able to agree that Wentz eats shit and he shouldn't even be an NFL QB anymore.

This team can actually win some games if his ass sits. That's what's so frustrating.

Did you listen to the podcast? Do you know what point it's supporting?
 
The biggest thing I cannot fathom is our lack of dedication to running the ball, we'll run at a good clip, then throw for 5 straight plays that put Wentz in a position to get whacked, it's bad coaching. I'm not putting any of the offensive struggles on the players at this point, a paper thin o line and we scheme like the Hogs are upfront. On defense, the secondary is just bad right now, really bad, not sure it's all on coaching or if the players regressed that bad.
 
I wonder who sits to make way for Robinson? I'm guessing that would be Williams.
