Yep. But as with every preseason, hope springs eternal :)

Sorry if this has been posted already, but ...

Never been a Florio fan, but he's on the side of the angels on this one.

Certainly appears what is alleged to have gone on, in fact, went on. Would love to know whose names are redacted here?

Ahhh… good old Mitch of ‘We’re the Washington Redskins… you’re 7 guys in the back of a truck’ fame Om

That would be big - especially if all 3 jump in - because it would make a stadium deal that much less likely. And that would put more pressure on the NFL to do something.

I will say this. If the NFL keeps Snyder in place as an owner while hitting us up with forfeiture of draft picks... I'm out. That would be - so NFL. It punishes no one, other than this fanbase, which has been punished enough.

Yeah, keeping him in place period would do it for me. If the league takes any action against the team other than removing Dan then it’s a deal breaker as well. There’s only so much a loyal fan can take.

Comprehensive article by John Keim on Little Danny’s response to Friedman’s allegations.

Starting to seem this Friedman guy is full of it, even though I dislike Dan as much as anyone.

If the ladies consent it may take the cheerleader video to be produced in public, or atleast to investigators.

Here is the thing that occurred to me while reading Kiem's article today...if this doesn't stick, we will NEVER be rid of Dan. This is an all-or-nothing situation.

He might be a piece of shit - and also be completely accurate in terms of Snyder's business dealings. The two things are not mutually exclusive :)

There's no way Congress sends a letter to the FTC based on Friedman's word alone. There had to have been documents supporting the allegations. I've seen emails made public already that would be hard to explain and which seem to be validating what he's attested to.

Time will tell. But no one likely closely associated with Daniel Snyder is a solid citizen. Whatever we find out is likely to be ugly and from people that are not without guilt themselves.

Oh I’m fine with a former or current employee turning states evidence on that mf. Even tho said person is a pos, as long as they don’t get off scot-free and faces some punishment.

Dan is a succubus and has taken the joy out of rooting for this team. Agree with Neo, this is a last ditch effort to rid the league of his stench.

In the Washington Post article this morning there was this crazy bit where the Commanders lawyers were trying to dismiss/discount part of this. Their argument boiled down to essentially, "Oh, this is such a small amount of money it's not worth paying attention, too, but if there was wrongdoing, Friedman was behind all of it anyway.

What would put the shady bookkeeping question in some useful context insofar as Snyder would be a look at how audits of the other 31 teams shake out. Meaning, if half the teams in the league (just to throw out a number) are routinely required to pay back X monies for bookkeeping "errors" of one kind or another, are those owners likely to go on record and make waves about The Dan.

Still hoping there's real fire here and not just a lot of foul-smelling smoke--enough so that other owners are inclined to chance their own odor getting out into the breeze and not just keeping their heads down and mouths shut.
