A nice thought but Pete Carol would want four 1’s, two 2’s, Jonathon Allen, a new Denali, and Prima Nocta with all the offensive players wives in tribute.
 
Russell Wilson is "top 10%" of QBs in this league? Really? I know math is hard but come on...

32 starters in the league so 10% is 3.2 guys. Wilson is a very good QB but he isn't one of the top 3 in the league now.

I'll give you Top 12. Maybe Top 10.
 
If healthy, top 10.

If healthy, clearly the best in the NFCE.

If healthy, top 3 in the NFC.

The vast majority of the killers are in the AFC.

Thats spot on Neophyte if you’re only looking at 2021. I did some looking - at least in 2021 he ranked 11th or 12th in the league. But he’s not as far off as you think. Wilson missed time this year and had surgery. Based on the annual NFL QB ratings system, here are Wilsons rankings in the 3 years prior:

2020 - 6th
2019 - 3rd
2018 - 6th

Wilson is a top 7 QB even now imho.

I was addressing Carr's comments and he said the NFL. Honestly, not sure he is Top 3 in the NFC either as, on pure QB play, I'd take at least Stafford, Rogers, and Prescott before him. And maybe Murray, at this point.

If I had to pick a QB for one season I'd agree with this, Boone. But we aren't talking about that and we would be giving up picks/players that will impact the league long after Wilson takes his last snap at this point. When you are discussing trading for an asset, you have to consider how long you will have that asset.

Even without considering his age, I'm not sure Wilson is that high for me. QBs I like as much or more right now - Murray, Stafford, Prescott, Rogers, Herbert, Mahomes, Burrow, Allen, and Jackson. That is 9 right there and I didn't include Watson because of his questionable legal situation. I included Stafford and Rogers because I'm not thinking about age. Factor that in and both drop below Wilson as they are older.

In short, if the goal is to win it all in the next year or two, and we think that is absolutely possible with Wilson after subtracting whichever major pieces we would have to give up to get him, then sure. But it's with the understanding that we are back in trouble again by the 2025 season.
 
Well there’s ‘who we like’ and then there are the actual stats and production. He’s consistently been top 7 his entire career. I get he’s 33 but we talk as if he’s 39 :) I’d trade a couple firsts and Chase Young for him and wouldn’t blink an eye.
 
With the same system and the same talent around him, I think Wilson would be better than Stafford, if healthy.

I also think he is better than Prescott, if healthy.
 
IF Houston makes a play for a QB, i'd be really interested in calling them and try to pry Davis Mills away from them. I was on him coming out as a later round sleeper and I still think he's got the physical tools to play....

 
You’d have to think with where they are as a franchise, Mills is their guy until proven otherwise. But then again, this is Houston we are talking about.

and they have the no. 3 pick in the draft. Watson is all but gone and will likely get multiple first rounders for his services. If they trade with someone like Carolina @ 6 or Tampa Bay @ 27, I could see them using 1 of those on a QB. They could also opt to trade OUT of 3 and move back to 7-10, and take a QB there. If you're going to take a 1st round QB, Davis Mills is not a 'bridge' type. You're gonna play the new guy.
 
Taking this with a grain of salt, but if this gets 'real' i don't know how happy i'll be



(Wrong tweet... this has already been debunked by Standig. He did a 'mail grab-bag' and said that HIS OPINION is that if the right QB were available that "pretty much anyone' could be on the table. This was a false report)

I have zero issue with this - in principle, even if we assume Young is the guy they thought he was when we drafted him - the best player in the draft and potentially a future HOF level talent. We are nowhere near knowing that as of today. What I have an issue with is - it better be for Russell Wilson, because there's literally no other all-star QB worth that cost. Rodgers is too old, and Watson is off the table.

All that being said, not sure 'NFL Rumors' is a legitimate source, lol...

I never understood what Love had done to warrant being an 'heir apparent' to Rodgers. On the other hand, I thought Rodgers came off looking like an insecure child in how he reacted to them drafting him. I literally know nothing about Love to have an informed opinion. If they do go after him, I hope it's for a mid-round pick because all indications are they way overdrafted the kid. The fact that they would entertain offers, especially when Rodgers situation is so tenuous, is a huge red flag.
