Five Potential New Names for Washington’s Football Team from Sports Illustrated

Does that matter if they are respected reporters like Schefter and Rappaport? Some are writing articles, some are taking polls, some are tweeting it.
 
There are tens of thousands of small unit names BB. What possible relevance to DC history or the Skins franchise does that moniker have?

If they wanted to go with ‘Washington Wolves’ with no bullshit NA or military tie in, I’d be fine with it.

I can't believe this is actually happening. For 45 years it was like a moniker that it wasn't racist and I stood up for that fight.

Now, with the mob mentality taking over...they've taken the one thing I was loyal to. Unreal.

Actually, I said it’s an obscure small unit name no one (outside of its members) has ever heard of. I didn’t deny it was a name. It just makes no sense Ken. Again, just my personal opinion, and as I’ve stated 1000 times, I hate the meaningless and largely insincere pandering to the military.

I propose the idea of giving all team numbers that correspond to the place in line where they entered the league. So the Skins would be what, 8? And give all teams white home uniforms and black road uniforms, with some version of redish uniform and a rainbow uniform for special occasions. Then everyone gets a white helmet with "NFL" in black letters. Or rainbow letters, depending on how far they want to go.

Think of the humor though! The same players can play for the team name and kneel for the national anthem!

Cool idea!

Half time shows could have statue toppling entertainment and book burnings! That should placate the Crapperdicks of the world! For added spectacle, the SB could feature the beheading of a white supremicist! If that's too lurid, the NFL could borrow Bubba's noose. Justice served!

I have been seeing fans of the Redskins now calling the name racist...I mean, really? You have been rooting for a team for how long, and all of a sudden you had an epiphany?
 
How about "Skinwalkers"? There's a really cool show called that on HBO or Netflix or some shit that's really hip and cool. And obviously socially acceptable, since it's on TV

And at the beginning of the game, they could burn the flag while they play the National Anthem and everyone kneels
