it didn't happen after the race. an official noticed it after the cars were brought down pit road just before the rain came down. the car was sitting a bit lower and they did a quick look-see. again - this is what i've heard, no confirmation yet.

ok, here's a little insider scoop for you...
look for ford to race the mustang brand in cup and nationwide in 2011. dodge will probably do the same with the challenger.
the toys and chevy will stay with the camry and impala. but the other two will probably force toyota and chevy to bring back a sporty looking celica (or a sporty looking camry) and the camaro.
also, the splitter is going away in 2011 to more rounded look in the front.

Look for Budweiser to move to the 29 car as a sponsor beginning next year.
Mobile 1 is looking for a new home as well and rumors say that the sponsorship will end up at Stewart-Haas.
The future of Richard Petty Motorsports is hanging in the balance. Rumors continue to swirl that Allmendinger and the Best Buy sponsorship will move to Penske in 2011. If that happens, look for Menard to leave and take his sponsorship to RCR. Elliott Sadler has already said that he is not returning to Richard Petty Motorsports, but the 19 car with Stanley Tools has said they will stay with RPM.
There is a good chance that NASCAR will test fuel injection in a handful of races during the 2011 season. These could be the first steps toward adopting the technology and the use of ethanol.
Sam Hornish does not have a sponsor for 2011 and his plans are undetermined at this point. If a sponsor can be found, Penske plans to keep Hornish in the 77 car.
Look for new changes in the chase format in 2011. NASCAR is seriously considering an elimination style format.
Mark Martin continues to insist that he will be in the 5 car next season.

Jack has been moved to the Mayo clinic. They needed for him to be a bit more stable before moving him to Rochester. Needs a good bit of facial work. I heard earlier that the Roush teams will be racing with decals for Jack at Pocono and Iowa.
It was reported a little later that he was at Mayo and the decals were used.
Atlanta has lost the Spring race - Kentucky will get it and it will probably be an early July Sat. night race.
Chicago will become the first race in the chase.
Rumors getting stronger that Kansas will take California's winter race and moved to a "warmer" part of the season.
Menard (and family sponsor) is going to RCR as the fourth team.

NASCAR is planning to take back a lot of engines after the race today for dyno testing, including start and parks and those who failed to make the race. NASCAR wants to see why there is a wide difference in speed and performance.
Still hearing that Marcos Ambrose is a strong candidate to drive the 9 car for RPM next season. If sponsorship issues can be resolved, the deal will go through.
NASCAR took sixteen engines from the race - confirmed.
We'll have to wait and see on Ambrose.
