Random Commanders Thoughts

There was a lot of hype last year about Leonard Williams, we had a chance at him but took our big boy right tackle/guard instead.

It's only been one season but any misgivings amongst the group on the Scherff selection or do we think that Scot was on top of things enough to realize the group of D linemen coming out this year could be a bumper crop and mitigate the 'loss' of Williams.

I've said for a while now if we took only OLine and DLine in the draft for the first three rounds from here on out, I'd be thrilled. We're giving Kirk a lot of money this year, and are looking to see if he is worth an even (potentially) bigger payday next off season. Why would we not protect him? Keep him upright and give him time to throw; not sure how ayone has an issue with this at all. If Moses keeps progressing, and Trent can hold things down for 5 more years (at least), and we have a powerful C/G combo, we can draft a project for the other G and then focus big time on DLine in rounds 2-4 this year, and hopefully first round next year (depending on talent levels and so on).

I know NOTHING about college players, but this seems pretty straightforward to me.

I still have no issues with the Scherff pick. He played well last year and helped solidify a position of need for us. I read where he missed 1 snap all season. If he can play at a high level for the next 5+ years, then it doesn't matter to me that we passed on Williams.

I think too many people are hung up on where a certain position is drafted.

I just want great/good players.

Reported on ESPN that the Eagles are now trying to trade Bradford and the Broncos are interested............but Howie wants TWO second round picks for Sam.

Good luck with that

The difference though is now we have someone that can actually identify good and great players 😎

After what we have seen go down from 2001-2014, you can never take that for granted.

If that's the case Sanchez has a decent chance of winning the job.

Kaepernick's confidence right now has to be in the crapper.

He's almost as much a reclamation project as Griffin.

But at least Griffin is on a rebuilding team with low expectations.

Anyone under center in Denver is expected to perform at a playoff level.

Kaepernick was never as good as Griffin. He was bigger and less injury prone and played on a much much better team. I expect Griffin will do better going forward, provided he can stay on the field.

Some are saying he could fall out of the first round but others are saying it might drop him down a notch or 2. From what I've seen he is still being predicted anywhere from 13-27

Looking forward to hearing, "With the 21st pick of the draft, the Washington Redskins choose, Ryan Kelly...Center from Alabama!"

Gotta work tonight so have fun in chat.

HTTR!!!

Yep, and we'll all chip in to McD's support group as he'll be in a state of depression lol.

Nah even McD would be giddy with that pick. Callahan would have a mf'n burgundy & gold phalanx to operate!

I'll break a few windows in my house if we draft an O-lineman tonight. Plural.

And I don't have a temper.

I put the odds of that happening at 1 in 500.

No.....I want a C in the 4th or 5th round. I like BB's selection a lot there.

I mean if we draft a C in the first round tonight, I may just throw this laptop through my television screen.

I gotta be honest, I was glad to see Bosa taken by the Chargers, now I hope Dallass doesn't take Jalen Ramsey.

Edit: Woohoo! They were stupid enough to waste a valuable #4 pick on a RB.
