Random Commanders Thoughts

Mario Williams missed team meeting this past week, per source. Williams told Bills he was sick, not everyone there believed it.

I didn't even bother reading the story, as the headline was enough to make me laugh to the point of almost choking......

Battle tested and DeSean shouldn't be associated with each other.

He must be Italian, it says "fragile" on his fitness report. :rotflmao:

He's a major award!!!

Discussed potential landing spots for RGIII when he's released on @NFLGameDay: #Eagles, #Texans, #Saints (or wherever Payton is), #Cowboys

I've been surprised that Jerrah hasn't made a big play for him already. The Baylor thing means he'd attract huge attention, and Jerrah thinks he can fix anything, including the likes of Greg Hardy. I could see it happening now that they've irrefutably determined that no one on the current roster is a serviceable replacement for Romo.

Although LeSean McCoy has a reputation for hurting the #Redskins, he has only two career 100-yard games vs. WAS in 11 games in 2011 and 2014

That "guaranteed option for injury" may have been enough to scare Jerrah away before the trade deadline.

Any comments after that could have been tampering.

*Rumor alert* And from JLC on top of it.

Says Scot is sold on Cousins as the QB of the future. Claims Scot has told Cousins' agent that he wants to sign a long-term deal asap.

Skins love Cousins' play, his make-up, leadership. They've seen enough to do a big-boy contract with him. Would franchise him if need be...

Well, as I posted on Facebook just now... You have to bring Cousins back. He's shown enough to warrant confidence he is a solid starter, you have no viable alternative on this roster other than Cousins, what free agent QBs are better, and you won't have a top draft pick to draft his successor.

All that equals a 4-5 year deal with Cousins. Only hiccup would be if he decides there's a better situation for him out there.

Don't we already know this, you know, through all of the comments that McCloughan has made throughout the season that are referenced here? ;)

So, if the Skins have already revealed that if they can't sign him before free agency, then they'll use the Franchise Tag on him, doesn't that basically mean Cousins will just wait, and let them apply that Tag on him, because it guarantees he'll get a lot more money from the Skins as a FT, than if he signed sooner ?

I like Cousins and I really really want to believe BUT....there's that little voice in the back of my head that whispers..."You know, we've been here before...."

We really have taken a good beating as fans over the last 20+ years, haven't we?

JLC - well, you know.

Let's see how everyone feels about Cousin Kirk after today.

He'd be gambling if he did.

1 year on the franchise tag at $x amount of dollars.

Or sign a 4 year deal worth much more money.

My guess is that he gets a deal similar to Kaepernick. And be far, far better than Kap.

This feels like a playoff game. We have been talking about "must wins" all year, well...I think we've finally reached a true "must win" game today.

If the Gnats or Eagles manage to beat one of the teams they play this week, that will carry a helluva lot of momentum for the final 2 games of the year for them. I gotta be honest, it will be tough to face an Eagles team in Philly after they beat one of the NFC's best the week before, riding a win streak. The Giants are a team that can upset Carolina. They're a very good team, but they are not invincible.

Now that's dedication....
