Sure players lose jobs because of injury. If an unheralded Tom Brady could come in and supplant a pro bowler and Super Bowl starter in Drew Bledsoe, why not Griffin who has proven little so far?

Let's be honest here. The only reason Griffin got back on the field right away was his draft position two years ago.

Most teams that are 1-5 and improve to 3-5 keep the mojo going as long as possible.

I think there is a decent chance McCoy beats the Bucs and the Vikings.

You don't lose your job due to injury. Mccoy is not a world beater no matter how many times you try to say so.

Gruden came out with those comments about Griffin because he realizes if he appears to be Snyder's butt boy in re RG3 he will completely lose the locker room.

Since the spring all these players have heard from coaches is work hard and produce.

The team finally won a couple of games and then it was time to change the qb.

Not because of performance but out of deference to draft picks given up two and a half years ago.

My guess is more than a few players resent that everyone on the team has to earn a job except #10.

Now if Griffin came in and was effective and showed he was ready that would have dissipated.

But like it or not Griffin is 0-3 as a starter this year and he hasn't faced NE, Denver or Green Bay in those starts.

He has faced three sub .500 football teams that gave him a chance to come in and be successful.

The road in SF and Indy looks like a disaster waiting to happen.

If we really are talking about a guy that takes the wrong drops in the pocket and can't execute basic plays, this is going to get ugly.

Perry Riley has definitely regressed. I saw a film breakdown of the Minnesota game, and he looked completely lost in both run and pass coverage. Especially against the run--which was surprising.

There is something rotten at the core of this organization. No matter who comes here, no matter their pedigree, no matter how much of a winner they were before... something goes terribly wrong almost as soon as they arrive. Sometimes, rarely, their winning ways lasts for a little bit... but the longer they stay, the further they regress.

Yes I totally agree. Its surreal, there's no evidence for it except by inference. How can we lose, cut or trade players over these same years, and watch them totally get better, much better. Drives me crazy and watching Sean Suisham get a SB ring and keep Steelers in the playoff hunt is mind boggling.

All the more reason for me to blow up the team and start over with all young guys. Just in case there is something to bringing in vet free agents who have baggage and look good on film then do squat here. That doesn't help the team and I have to wonder what the impact is in the locker room. I pretty much would rather field an expansion team type roster than watch talented pros under achieve and not perform as professionals. That's how low I've sunk on this debate. We are at rock bottom.

Having listened to no radio all week, and not reading a bunch of articles, and refraining from jumping into the drama and drivel of any message board on the planet so far this week, I can say without a doubt that I'm happier than most people around here.

Doesn't mean I don't know what's going on. Just means I've lived long enough to not CHOOSE to be miserable all the time.

The devil in me kind of enjoys watching some of the self torture too many inflict on themselves. Especially since few actually have any idea what they're talking about.

at some point the astute among us must ask: when is coaching held accountable? we're 10 games into the season and the play...across the board is getting worse...not better. my prediction....Gruden has 6 games to get things on the right course or he is history.

1. Cooley is obviously a hater. He must be jealous of something.

2. This is just a rumor. Until I hear our HC say it, this is all bs. Oh wait....

1. Dumbed-down the offense to teach the QB what a pro-style offense is, and how to read coverage in the secondary. Isn't that what you want him to do? Can he somehow make him learn faster?

2. Defense. We have no idea who kept Haslett. I suspect it was the FO to save money. We brought some new studs in.

3. Special Teams. From worst in the league to basically fixed. Kai had a rough week though.

Teaching RG3 how to be a pro quarterback is going to take time. Not days or weeks.

If you think the players haven't figured out that Danny kept Haz around to save money (IF that's what happened), you're naïve`. If they have figured it out, that diminishes his credibility even more with the players, and reduces his ability to control the team. Haslett's presence on the team has never been satisfactorily explained, and Gruden is who it reflects most poorly on, imo. Gruden should have put his foot down on that one.

Stop making stuff up. What I did see was a few drops, loads of procedure penalties, a key fumble and an INT.

Robert was responsible for one of those bad plays.

Procedure penalties are coaches' failures to coach.

What are you having trouble understanding?

In the second half, things bottomed out.
