Wasn't that brutal for Colt...since he won.
 
Just part of the price you pay for having a personna bigger than your game and being on a team that seemingly everyone loves to hate on.

I hope these rumors of him not working hard in the film room are untrue... Our hearts have been broke enough.

Those rumors sound Shanahanian. If they were proven true...cut his ass tomorrow. There is no excuse for not putting in the time.

However, most of those sort of rumors tend to be sour grapes, not truths. Especially from Shanahan. What we have also heard is that Griffin works harder and studies as hard as anybody out there. Which rumor is worth more?
 
Doesn't matter if they're true or not..people will find a way to spin it and twist it until they can try to make it relevant.
 
As you are all fully aware, I am not an RG3 fan...but the story from Steve Young wreaks of Mike Shanahan starting trouble. Every account is that Robert works hard. I will give him that. Not buying into the "not putting the time in" bs.
 
It does sound Shanahanian and Young would have a relationship with Shanahan wouldn't he? Oh the ****ing drama.

Read option is still a very effective play in the NFL - but you have to execute.

This is some of the best football analysis I've read on the internet in a long time. The read option still works, when executed. What teams have figured out is how to stop poorly executed read option plays. Since this is a copycat league, everyone was trying it. Teams were trying it with guys who couldn't execute it. It then starts to fade league wide, and the mantra is that defenses figured it out. Again, since it's a copycat league, even teams that could execute it well stop or use it rarely since the thought is that defenses have figured it out. Leave it up to Pete Carroll to keep running it.

The bottom line is it still works, if you execute it properly. RGIII isn't executing it properly right now when it is called. This just exacerbates his issues, since even the things he used to do better than anyone else, he can't do.

Gruden came out with those comments about Griffin because he realizes if he appears to be Snyder's butt boy in re RG3 he will completely lose the locker room.

Since the spring all these players have heard from coaches is work hard and produce.

The team finally won a couple of games and then it was time to change the qb.

Not because of performance but out of deference to draft picks given up two and a half years ago.

My guess is more than a few players resent that everyone on the team has to earn a job except #10.

Now if Griffin came in and was effective and showed he was ready that would have dissipated.

But like it or not Griffin is 0-3 as a starter this year and he hasn't faced NE, Denver or Green Bay in those starts.

He has faced three sub .500 football teams that gave him a chance to come in and be successful.

The road in SF and Indy looks like a disaster waiting to happen.

If we really are talking about a guy that takes the wrong drops in the pocket and can't execute basic plays, this is going to get ugly.

While I completely understand where you're coming from, it's a different league these days. Ask Kaperdink in SanFran how he earned his starting job... It's not like the good old days. It's all about instant gratification.... flavor of the week.... sticking with the hot hand....
 
Well..we can ask the niners how they miss smith now as well.

I'm just done with the mccoy should be starting nonsense just because he beat a dallass team that we all knew Haslett would be up for and that we could beat.
