Hall shouldn't engage...but as a professional CB he's right -> Sherman is not a shut-down corner in the sense of Deion or Green. Sherman is not assigned the same responsibilities in the Seattle D. he's good..no doubt.

I think you're right but I think Mike is onto something in that there's a lot more hotdogging and pre-planned hot dogging than there was before. I think the NFL in terms of these sideshow antics has gone downhill much in the same way the NBA has since Jordan came along. Now kids aren't focusing as much on the basics as they used to and are taking significant amounts of time to practice these side show things. In the NBA Jordan ruined shooting because now all the kids wanna make highlight dunks but screw up basic lay ups and free throws. It's all about Sportscenter now.

Burgundy Burner has a couple of centers in his mock that are projected 2nd or 3rd rounders-here's some info.

2/15/14: Richburg has a lot of fans in the scouting community and played well as a senior. The Rams averaged 461 yards per game during the 2013 regular season. He led a line that allowed only 20 sacks and averaged 200 yards rushing per game. Richburg had an impressive outing against Boise State, but turned in a bad showing in his bowl game against Washington State.

Richburg bounced back and played well in the Senior Bowl. He showed a nice combination of strength, athleticism, quickness and balance. Richburg locked up his ranking as at least the second-ranked center, and some teams could prefer him to Swanson depending on their scheme.

8/7/13: Richburg has been one of the top centers in the nation for the past three seasons. He enters his senior year with 36 straight starts. Richburg was a candidate for the 2012 Rimington Trophy given to the nation's top center. The junior graded out at 90 percent and wasn't called for one penalty last year. He took over as the Rams' starting center in 2011 and was a Second-Team All-Mountain West selection.

Richburg, a freshman, started all 12 games in 2010 - three at guard and nine at center. He should continue to add strength for the NFL.

STRENGTHS: Prototypical build for an interior lineman with a powerful, square frame to handle bull rushers and good initial quickness and overall athleticism to block on the move. Good upper body strength to move the defensive tackle and has the balance and quickness to turn and seal his opponent from the action.
Often asked to pull on sweeps, screens and shows impressive quickness and change of direction for a man of his size. Intelligent. Makes all of the line calls and keeps his head on a swivel to help teammates when uncovered.

Durable. Started all 49 games of his career.

WEAKNESSES: Some questions about level of competition, though Richburg played well against top opponents when CSU faced them, including Alabama in 2013.

Effective run blocker, but isn't a mauler with dominating leg drive. He could also stand to show a little more nasty to his play. Possesses the athleticism to handle guard duties but has only started three games there in his career - the first three games of his career.

COMPARES TO: Brad Meester, Jaguars -- Durable, intelligent and a better athlete than most give him credit for, Richburg somewhat anonymously emerged as one of the country's best over his collegiate career, similar to the way Meester proved quietly dependable for the Jaguars.

PLAYER OVERVIEW

Richburg's first calling card is his durability, as the Bushland, Texas native started every game over the past four years. He finished off a first-team All-Mountain West senior season, anchoring an offense that averaged 461.2 yards per game through 13 games.
He was invited to the Senior Bowl, where Richburg impressed with his ability to handle powerful bull-rushers from more prominent programs while also showing the ability to get to the second level.

Durable, intelligent and a better athlete than most give him credit for, Richburg is a Top 100 prospect who could ultimately challenge Arkansas' Travis Swanson to be the first pivot off the board if he can continue to build momentum throughout the draft process.

2/15/14: Swanson had a strong week of practice at the Senior Bowl to impress NFL teams. He was a tenacious blocker who held his own in the one-on-ones. Swanson showed a nice combination of size, strength and athletic ability.

Swanson helped pave the way for Arkansas freshman Alex Collins to run well in 2013. Swanson shown some strength and athleticism at the point of attack. He was called a dirty player by a Florida defensive tackle, and the Gators had a strong game shutting down the Razorbacks. Swanson played well against South Carolina. He has some strength, mobility and can display a mean streatk. He looks like a quick starter in the NFL.

8/7/13: Swanson has started all 38 games of his collegiate career so far; he was a standout blocker in the SEC the past three seasons. The junior was a Second-Team All-SEC selection in 2012.

Swanson has done an admirable job in pass protection as the Razorbacks have fielded a 3,000-yard passer each year of his career. He has also well in run blocking, especially in 2010 when running back Knile Davis was healthy.

Swanson should be poised for an interesting season in 2013 playing for Brett Bielma with some young talent at running back. It would help Swanson to continue to add some strength for the NFL. However, he is a well-rounded blocker who could turn into a starting center in the NFL.

STRENGTHS: Has the athleticism to pull in the running game. Able to seal off defenders from the action when blocking straight ahead. Can anchor well against strong run defenders. Good explosiveness to deliver his snaps and awareness in making line calls.
WEAKNESSES: Lack of ideal straight-line apparent when unable to make the edge at times. Struggles to generate movement against stronger defenders.

I really like the sound of Swanson in maroon & black. I still want to trade down multiple times and grab lots of 3rds but sounds like our old school hogs type guy.

Wonder if the "dirty player" label is warranted, or if he was just pwning everyone?.
 
Clark is only going to get a vet min deal from ANY team so I don't know what his hurry is.

Doesn't he realize a far more talented and versatile player like Charles Wwodson was a late signee at the same age.

Get real Clark.

This team and it's new coach are trying to move forward and the last thing we need is an old-timer griping about how Cerrato treated him last decade.

I don't totally disagree, although drawing the conclusion that he doesn't want to land in DC from one tweet might be a stretch too...
 
A veteran should know better. Right now he is selling his experience and professionalism more than his athleticism, and frankly this is not the kind of comment you would expect from a leader like London Fletcher.
 
Leaders are determined by the opinions of teammates, not by the interpretation of tweets by fans.

This is much ado about nothing.
 
The guy has baggage about the past here, at 35 I don't see him being an impact player on the field any longer.

Pass and find someone else that wants to be here with a clean slate.
