I sure hope they play Browner to his strengths if we do sign him. Spencer? Not sure I want him.

Overall, I think we are filling holes with some part timers. I don't see any of the current signings lasting longer than 3-4 years. But, I was one of the ones calling for some stop gap players, so I won't complain. Would like to have seen some youth signed along the offensive line who would be dominant...not just to compete with our poor current players. And I sure a **** hope we do not plan on an undersized LG being shifted over to center.

I'm seeing a FO that thinks we have an offense with real weapons, and needs something on the defense to make the team competitive while they groom home grown talent to fill the holes.

If we see them draft a WR, LB, RT/RG, and DT/DE as well as a safety or CB then that'll confirm my suspicions. To me that would comfort me and let me know they have a clue. In 3 years we'll be running with Ammerson and whatever CB/Safety they draft this year as well as someone else, in the meantime we'll haver porter and hall to anchor it. Same with the LB and DL situation.

We're using free agency exactly what you're supposed to use it for - stop gaps for positions you aren't ready to fill with your own, cheap talent.
 
You don't find franchise players in free agency outside of the unique circumstances of a Manning or Brees.

You draft your core players and build around them with value acquisitions.

For once the team is doing it the right way.

I agree on the OL though. Hoped to see one veteran starter for the interior group with an established reputation as a contributor.

I still don't know what you're trying to tell me. Since I switched to the fluid skin from the black, my posts look on my screen just like everyone else's do.

What are you seeing that is giving you a problem?
 
Before chris switched the template he was using all of his text was white so those of us with white backgrounds couldn't read it without highlighting it.

Sounds like a template problem?

Weird, the setting he has on his PC shouldn't affect the settings for others at all.
 
Montgomery released. He saves us between $2 and $3 million to sign someone else.

Sounds like Lich is moving to center.

He was a first round pick and seemed to be a comer his first couple of years in Baltimore.

Now he is rated below Donald Penn as a FA?

Well I guess we have our answer now on who Gruden and Allen saw on film that needed to be replaced up front.

Surprisingly it was not Chester, at least not yet.
