That could be....OR he can pretty much join ANY team's PS. I suppose it could be money driven as well. I REALLY hope he stays, though.

So our PS could initially look like this when the smoke clears:
Tevita Stevens OL
Xavier Nixon OL
Jawan Jamison RB
Nick Williams WR
Will Compton LB

That leaves three spots. Would LOVE to see Minniefield take one. Who gets the others? I'm thinking D-Line.

Raiders dump their 4th round pick from this year, QB Tyler Wilson. I like our 4th round pick from last year a lot better.

Wilson walks away with a $491,000 signing bonus. Not bad for a few weeks of work. Raiders continue to be the Raiders.
 
On the other hand, give them credit for acknowledging a blown pick right away and moving on. A lot of front offices would keep him on the roster just to save face.

Minnifield did indeed draw interest from other teams once he cleared waivers, I'm told. But Minnifield preferred to return where he started.

If Chase is indeed back then it will be interesting to see who grabs the last spots. I'm seeing rumors of TE Ogbuehi and DL Hamilton. I wouldn't mind seeing Lance Lewis on there.

So glad you delayed your break long enough to drop that great piece of breaking news on us :)

Now....we can only hope that Jerome Murphy slams his pinky finger on a cabinet while filing papers at the ESPN headquarters, so Chase can get promoted before another team snatches him from the PS

Maybe it's just flashbacks of Mark Murphy and Sam Shade but #29 seems more like a Safety number while #24 is a CB number. Not sure why Rambo changed. I would have thought Amerson would take 24. I also liked Jenkins at 57, not that any of it matters. It just makes my old brain work harder having to remember the new numbers. ;)

IR for a shoulder injury? Mildly surprising but I guess the coaches really like him enough to stash him.

We have a lot of players hitting the street next year, my only guess is that it costs them nothing to stash him and see how it goes.

And the fact that's he's still young probably has something to do with it. He made a nice play against the Bucs to move us down for our first score although I was a little disappointed at his speed and getting caught from behind. I wonder if something was going on besides his shoulder and he was just toughing it out. It also appeared he wanted to go back in after his shoulder x-rays so that probably gained points with the coaching staff as well.
 
Does Rob Jackson and Jenkins count as part of the 53 final roster? Or will someone need to be released when they return?

He sort of had to change. Roy Helu is already wearing #29. :)
