Tapatalk 4 on android 4.1.2 not working again. Will not load says to contact administrator again. Just a heads up.

I don't think it's a site issue. Sites loading fine both through browser, mobile skin, and Tapatalk 1 & 2...

I love tapatalk but I've had some issues like that since before the upgrade.

If it is giving you issues hold down your home button to bring up the list of apps and swipe away the tapatalk one, that'll actually close the app instead of leaving in a 'saved' state and force it to start all over again when you launch it.

If you have a nexus you have to go into the system settings -> manage apps -> running tab. I think all other phones have a home button you can hold to bring it up.

The biggest problems I have is that it wont show that there are new posts when I know there are. Doing that gets it to reconnect and realize there are new posts.
 
Thanks tshile I'm on a galaxy s3. I stopped the app, rebooted ran it again. Still won't load the forum. I belong to several other forums and they work well with it. I guess it was too soon to count on a new release. I'm rolling back to 2.whatever.

Funny how BGO works sometimes but not all the time though.

I'm on the same phone. I have noticed it was a problem with this forum in particular. Honestly, I just thought it was my phone.

I've yet to upgrade to tapatalk 4 because it requires setting up a tapatalk account and I hate setting up accounts with random people to save my login information for other places, and I'm just lazy. But I'll get it set up sometime soon so I can check it out.

I don't like 4 but not just because of the problems with this site. In 2 there is are shortcuts at top where you can choose unread, all or participated threads... it goes away in 4 and I missed it.

So I rolled back to tapatalk 2 and it is working just fine. Something about BGO and tapatalk 4 isn't right but its only a beta version I guess so there is time to figure it out.

I actually just realized you don't have to sign in, just like before, so now I'm using it.

Those options are there, they just aren't at the top anymore. Instead there is an icon in the left that pulls a menu out from the left side that has all those options and more. That seems to be the new style these days for mobile apps on android.
 
It's likely an issue with that version of Tapatalk and vbulletin version 4.2.1 and that's Tapatalks problem. It doesn't have anything to do with BGO. There are references to issues on the Tapatalk support forums.
 
when I log in with my tablet, I often end up with a large and annoying "Chat Now" box that I cant minimize nor make go away. I do not get this when accessing from a regular laptop
 
That's the mobile chat link...I can probably ask cometchat to tweak the code to put that link somewhere else... I'll check into that. Thanks!

Is it possible that a PM I sent to someone here would not be showing that I sent it now? I thought for sure I sent a message this morning but am not seeing evidence of it now. The message I was responding to is also saying unread now and I know I read it. Should I go ahead and resend?

Probably related to DNS propagation. I'd resend it.
 
I happened to be logged into a test account as a 'Premium' member, and noticed that this group was not set up to be able to view the Home Page. Can you all let me know if anyone cannot see the 'Home' button in the top menu - that should take you to our 'Home Page' where a lot of content is located? Also - for those of you who are 'Premium' members, can you verify that you WERE NOT seeing the 'Home' button on your top button row before, and also verify that you are seeing it now and it's working for you?

Yeah, I did not know, but it is there now.

I think next year's donation should have some sort of proration or something. :)
 
As I mentioned to Goal, blows my mind that a number of you didn't have a link to (or perhaps even know) that we have a whole other section of the site (a 'Home Page') with a ton of stuff available - including Redskins-related articles. The 'Home Page' should be where you land when you enter BGObsession.com - The Front Page . I know some of you have the forums page bookmarked, but consider bookmarking the Home Page address (or just accessing the site via the BGObsession.com - The Front Page url). If you go right to the forums page, you are going to miss a lot of site news, info, announcements, and great content. As we get more into 'football' threads we will be highlighting great threads and posts as articles here as well.

Please let me know if you do not see the 'Home' button in the nav button row (it should be the first button right next to 'Forums'.

Though, I used to have some stuff around my name that signified me as a "premium" member in the threads that isnt there now.
