Random Commanders Thoughts

I never knew this, but apparently Vinny Cerrato had the framework of a deal together to send Fred Davis to the Chiefs for Jamaal Charles (not sure of exact specs of the deal) - it was so close to being a done deal that the press release was drafted and ready to be sent out. Chiefs backed out of the trade before it could be consummated.

Also, as expected, the Redskins didn't use any sort of tag on any player. Too expensive given their current cap situation.

Former #Redskins All-Pro defensive tackle Dave Butz is latest to sue #NFL over concussions.

Sleepy sounds like he's starting to realize he's not gonna break the bank. I think for the right price we keep him with incentives being a huge part of his deal

Is there anyone worse in the media than Jason LaCanfora?

Teams I'd look at as possible suitors for Revis would include SF, WSH (need cap room), TB, IND, DET (must redo Stafford) ...

Yeah Jason, keep throwing **** against the wall hoping it will stick.

A guest at the bar for lunch tried to punk me. He was saying RGIII got traded for Vince Young. All this while I have 3 tvs on BSPN with the volume up. Really? Then when I explained EVERYTHING about Vince Young (and RGIII) and why this couldn't even be a possibility, I had 7 other guys staring at him and saying, "Shouldn'ta done that here, dude...not with HER!"
Being a Redskins fan is a blessing.:nana:

Saw a couple of reports today that we're considering releasing Deangelo Hall.

WHAT THE **** ARE YOU WAITING FOR????!!!!!!!

$8mil cap hit and we're $4mil over right now. Cutting him puts us is a good position to start. If he wants to be here he can come back for a couple million MAYBE. But honestly, I think we cut this dead weight, (2 yrs too late) and take our chances.

Supposedly, D Hall, Moss and Carriker.

I thought we were $3M under?

I thought we were $3M under?

The Redskins are believed to be around $3 million over the cap, and unless they somehow are able to pull off their last-ditch effort to recoup some of that $18 million that the league has docked them (the second installment of the two-year, $36 million penalty for how they structured contracts during the uncapped 2010 season), Bruce Allen and Eric Schaffer have a fair amount of work ahead of them.

I saw $4mil in another article... who knows. The cpnd cap page doesn't look up to date either... Lets say $3mil over for ****s and giggles. Even if we are even, we need cap space in a big way.
