Random Commanders Thoughts

Right now, we are $2,930,335 under the cap.

Again, I don't know where we came up with the space. I got a hunch, but it's still a mystery.

Care to post where you got that info from BB?

The cap raise was announced on Feb 28th and the increase was only $2.4mil so to go from $4mil over (WP speculation) to $3mil under (?) with an increase to the cap limit of $2.4 is not possible.

Oh yeah and either way cap or no cap issues, I don't want to pay Hall more than $1.9mil. He's made WAY TOO ****ING much money in this league and he needs to adjust his value mentally.

This is from the NFL Management Council, so it's legit. Like I said, I got a hunch about how it happened, but could be wrong.

Some tweets and at least one article showing up pointing at CB Derek Cox of the Jags likely to be released and the Redskins as a possible landing spot.

Yep, I listed him as a target in FA. If he's beyond the injury bug, this is the best choice overall for the Redskins at CB in FA. Toler would be good too.

Maybe i'm alone but would like to see Hall return...at a much lower pricetag that is. Thing is we don't have too many alternatives right now thanks to Goodell and his life partner.

Anyone heard of him coming back after releasing him? And would that be legal to do contract wise?

The Jags also let go of Aaron Ross and Dawan Landry yesterday, they are completely cleaning house in their secondary...

REALLY Random Redskins-related news: Just found out the new Head Football Coach at my son's High School is former Redskins Safety, Clarence Vaughn. :thewave:

Watched super bowl 17 in its entirety for the first last night. Good game. Was looking kind of shaky for the first 3 quarters but I had a feeling and held out hope.

I know Riggins run is the play that gets all the attention but Murphy's interception was the game changer in my opinion.

... and Theismann's defensive gem on Bokamper. Arguably (and ironically) the most impactful play of his career.

Yeah... wasn't really impressed with Theismann. He had moments where I thought 'damn, he has an arm' and then he had moments where I thought 'my word, theisman is dumb'

We were laughing that he was called a mobile quarterback... because he can run the bootleg... in todays NFL running the bootleg is what they have non-mobile quarterbacks do to buy some time :)

oh and griffin would have been unstoppable in the '80s :)

Hallelujah part II!

RT @john_keim Not really surprising, but a league source says KR/PR Brandon Banks will NOT be returning to the #Redskins

You know, I almost cry tears of joy when I realize we are gonna start getting good players because we have Griff and Morris, and guys wanna come here to win instead of just getting paid. I hope we go all in on continuing the youth movement.

I'm sure it had a major part in us retaining the guys we have locked back up as well. I've been hoping we hear that a FA comes because of the progress we're making... the powers that be and the players deserve it.
