If "Wiki" can be believed ...... Gano is a US service brat who was born in Scotland where his dad was stationed, his family has a long heritage of US military service.

So, unless Gano went native, I suspect that the Scottish angle is total BS.

Well..Trying to remember where I read this at today but I read that Kai flew in from Cali today and went 5 for 5 off the plane.

Think that spoke more than an agent.........:elvis:

2 impression of Kai Forbath from yesterday, he is a small guy. I cannot see him as a big threat over 55 yards. And his kick offs are going to give teams a chance to run the ball back. I wonder if they've given Rocca a chance to see if he can kick them deep.

Oh and yesterday at the game I had our section screaming Kai Forbath. I don't think half of them even knew who he was. :laugh:
 
The 50 yarder would have been good from 55.

Based on his history it just looks as if Kai and his agent made the wrong decision in having him sign as a college free agent with Tampa, where Barth is one of the best in the NFL.

Amazing though that even after MAKING a 55 yarder in preseason no one signed him after the final cuts.

There are some shaky kickers out there.

Yeah, from what I saw of his kickoffs and the kick he made, I feel comfortable at 50 yards. We'll see if 52-54 is his true range as the season progresses.
 
it's one game, but with a very small sample size, i liked what i saw. He was able to get the ball out of the back of the endzone later in the game, which leads me to believe he was tryin to kill it and just missing it. The 50 yarder was clean and had plenty of room... i like it so far.
