Yeah...you are on to something Henry, but I still like how the Patriots bond together when anyone on that team is challenged.

And Shi No, I hear ya. But yesterday's game was so our of control about midway through the 2nd quarter that the only the only response was to handle it ourselves. At least that is this one man's opinion.
 
I know other teams have injuries, even injuries to the 4 or 5 stars on their roster. But I swear - if I believed in 'curses' I'd be convinced someone put the hex on us long ago.

All due respect, disagree here. We have no effing clue what the D is going to look like. Last weekend we were all thrilled with the gameplay and execution against one of the best offenses in the league. This week, that unit laid an egg. So which is more representative?

Who knows. It's only week 2.

Just got done reviewing the Orakpo injury and it wasn't dirty. It was definitely a hold, like we are used to seeing with him and now Kerrigan, but I wouldn't say it was a late hit or something Saffold was intentionally trying to do. To be honest, it didn't look like a play that would have done season ending damage.

Then on the next defensive series after some rest he tried to come back in and play. He didn't make it through half of that series before Jackson came back in. From what I was able to see after reveiwing the video is that nothing dirty occurred to cause Orakpo's or Carriker's injuries.
 
This won't be popular, but I'm okay with that. Orakpo is a good player--but certainly not on the "HOF" trajectory. He's solid. He's not Dexter Manley. He's definitely not Demarcus Ware.

I hope he has a speedy recovery, and comes back to kick some serious ass. BOL Brian.

Why don't ya just come out and say what many, in my opinion think.

He's no Ryan Kerrigan...
 
he is miscast as a 3-4 olb, he was more effective as a 4-3 rush end. I have said it all along, and the facts bore me out.

Kerrigan has made the transition and become what Rak was supposed to., he has a better toolbox and looks more aware in coverage.

This wont be popular but after losing our best 3-4 end and our second best OLB, I would sign Andre carter and run a lot of 4 man fronts, Bowen looked great as a dt in the 4 front and Jenkins flashed the ability to be a great 3 tech, then rush kerrigan or wilson from olb on every playm we might give up a few but we will cover our secondary. soft zone and 3 man rush? puke
 
I would still rather bring in the younger Markus White. They are not abandoning the 3-4 and we all know it! We could have had Wade Phillips running the 3-4 for us!!!

Edit: Sorry to bag on the guy while he's hurtin but too many commercials and jersies for what we actually get out of him. Yeah double digit sacks, yeah yeah.... When it mattered? No. I hope he gets better quick and gets back to form, but the same injury in back to back seasons? He got hurt it in the preseason this yr, I give him credit for giving it a go for 1.10 games.

No, we're not going to abandon the 3/4, and Ryman isn't actually saying to make the switch back from what I'm reading. We do go with a 4 man front in certain packages already. We might be able to have the best of both worlds for the season with AC brought back. Shanny hasn't said he's defiantly bringing up Worthington. With two open roster spots, you could bring in AC, and go after White too.
 
Markus White has tweeted that he's back on the Redskins (not in so many words). This was a no-brainer move, seeing as he knows the system already.

Phillips wasn't coming to DC, El. His folks live in Houston. He grew up there. It is about as good a situation as he was going to get. Why would he trade that for DC and mess that Snyder/Ceratto had created here. It is nice to dream but getting Wade here was just that...a dream.
