I think the likelihood of Flynn coming to DC is about 25-30% probability. I just hate the idea of trading away valuable assets for a player who has never even seen an NFL field.

If the front office feels RGIII is the man, I will root for the kid just like I root for Rex. :betterwink:

For those of you curious about the whole of the draft here is a bit more. Washington's currently has 7 picks for the 2012 draft and they are:

#6
#39 (Rd 2)
#70 (Rd 3)
#103 (Rd 4)
#110 (Rd 4) - from Oakland
#134 (Rd 5)
#163 (Rd 6) - from Vikings
#198 (Rd 7)

The extra pick in the 4th is from the Jason Campbell trade to Oakland, have the Vikings 6th round pick in the McNabb trade and gave up their own 6th round pick to New Orleans as part of the trade for Jamaal Brown.

That wasn't listed on the Walter Football draft order, which is where I got my information. I will confirm and update ASAP.
 
Didn't we get something for Haynesworth?

And the 2013 pick in the McNabb deal is conditional so I don't know whether we get it or not as I can't find the conditions spelled out anywhere as of now.
 
Since McNabb's season was not in exactly stellar, we probably won't get anything next year.

Thanks for posting this! I do believe this is accurate with one small correction on the explanation - the 6th for Jammal Brown was conditional based on him playing 90% of the snaps in 2010, which I don't believe he did. However, the Skins traded a 6th to ARI for Tim Hightower, so the net result is the same.

I think that we still get a pick, but the condition/round would be determined by the level of his play. So we would get at least a 6th depending on how well he played. I did not think his poor play eliminates the pick.

Believe it or not, McNabb actually did not play that bad. He actually played quite well. He just wasn't winning. And retroactive trade value is never dependent on wins. The only issue I see with trade value is he obviously didn't play very long, and I don't know if the condition of the pick was dependent on snaps/playing time. But if it was based on stats, his were very good - A LOT better than Grossman's in 2011 (pro-rated and proportionately speaking), that's for sure !!
 
I was just saying I think it is a 6th round pick contingent on whatever variable the 2 teams agreed upon, not that we won't get a pick if he didn't meet the criteria.
