2nd-Annual BGO Ballers Fantasy Football League

This season is really coming down to the wire. The last spot in the playoffs will depend entirely on what happens tonight. The top 6 teams get in, and so far the teams definitely going are Rocca Me Baby, SkinsFan76, 2mindrill(withurmom), Goaldeje Rules All!, and Comeback Kings.

Up for grabs is the final slot, and there will be a 3 way fight tonight for that.

Right now, Quasimofos are ahead of LSF by 11.90 points. I have 1 player playing tonight, as does LSF. However, no matter who wins this matchup, neither of us is guaranteed that final spot, because Canadian Hogs has 2 players going tonight and can still pull off the victory in his matchup. Since he is ahead of both myself and LSF in points, he can still win the spot.

So here are the scenarios for each team to get the final playoff spot.

1. LSF: Gets in if Mike Tolbert scores at least 8.94 points more than Antonio Gates. Or if LSF loses to Quasimofos by less than 2.97 points and scores at least 11.21 points more than Canadian Hogs. Or if LSF loses to Quasimofos by less than 2.97 points and Canadian Hogs loses.

2. Quasimofos: Gets in if Canadian Hogs loses and Quasimofos wins the matchup against LSF by at least 2.97 points. Or if Quasimofos wins the matchup against LSF by at least 2.97 points and Canadian Hogs loses. Or if Quasimofos wins the matchup against LSF by at least 2.97 points, and scores at least 14.25 points more than Canadian Hogs.

3. Canadian Hogs: Gets in if it Canadian Hogs defeats Neo Maltsters and scores no more than 14.23 points less than Quasimofos in a Quasimofos win.

LSF is the only team that can lose and still make the playoffs. Quasimofos and Canadian Hogs can both win and still miss the playoffs. It'll be interesting.

Maybe I'm reading it wrong, but the standings show Canadian Hogs have 1032.98 points compared to 1118.74 for you and 1121.7 points for LSF.

Adding in this weekend's scores, we have:

Quasimofos 1219.3
LSF 1210.36
Canadian Hogs 1100.78

So, Canadian Hogs is out of the race unless his final two players score enough (150+) points to outscore you two.

Okay, official scenarios post:

Right now (meaning, if there was no Monday night game and the points you have now stood as final) the playoff situation looks like this: Goaldeje is in the 4th spot, Comeback Kings are in the 5th slot, and Quasimofos are in the 6th spot.

If LSF loses by 2.96 points or more, he is out and Quasimofos are in. If LSF loses by 2.95 points or less, or he wins, LSF is in and Quasimofos are out.
 
Is there someway I can avoid playing Comeback Kings in the first round?

Sigh.

I believe #6, plays #3. Which is me.

I believe #4 and #5 will play each other.

I really thought I had one of those two spots a few weeks ago, but wow, did my team fall apart!

You know you are desperate when you are considering picking up Orlovsky to be your QB next weekend. LMAO
 
Ha - Flacco-Sacco plays Indy next week; if he can't put up numbers against THAT defense, then you might be in trouble. :)

So now that it's totally clear that I've got next to nothing of a shot of squeezing into the final playoff spot, I say the Hogs still should fight tooth and nail for every victory, instead of losing out to secure a higher draft pick in April ;)

In all seriousness, thank you for allowing me to participate in the fantasy league this season. I thoroughly enjoyed it and thought it was kind of cool planning out a draft strategy for the 14th overall pick. I think my one regret is not attempting to take a quarterback with one of my first three picks. I let that position slide a bit too long and I think it hurt me in the long run, seeing that Cutler didn't start heating up for a few weeks until recently (before the injury).

Best of luck to all in the playoffs! Hopefully I can be part of this again next September and draft a Redskins QB by the name of RG3 :)
 
In the other league I am commish of, I missed the playoffs by 5.82 points. Unbelievable!

I started the season 2-5, including a 1.74 point loss. Won 3 of my last 5 to sit at 5-7, with a few 6-6 teams in front of me. I was traililng by about 50 points or so from one person, so if she lost by enough, I was in. My team scored 141.56 points this week, but it was 5.82 points short!

The difference? She had VJax - the TD with 18 seconds left in the 1st half sealed it. Now THAT is a photo finish!
 
Are we just doing the standard playoffs or are we also playing the consolation games too? Trying to figure out if I need to set my roster again this week or not.
 
In another league (PPR), I am struggling with choosing between Santana or Aaron Hernandez for my Flex play. NE D stinks, so Santana should have a good game, but he hasn't done too much since coming back. Hernandez has taken a definite back seat to Gronkowski, but is still good for 5-7 catches and 50-70 yards/game.

Thoughts?

Yes, we are doing the consolation bracket. If you click "Consolation" above the brackets on the first page, it brings them up. You're playing Kevin.

I think you should play anyone playing the Redskins.
