Who will be the new Head Coach

I am not (and have not) predicted Urban Meyer will be the next head Coach if the Redskins. He has had severe headaches as a result of some neurological issues and that *may* have been a driving factor in his ‘retirement' but I'm not sure it's a serious enough issue to keep him out of coaching, especially given the $$ he could demand.

I don't completely buy that the only reason he was at last weeks game was to support Terry McLaurin. I have to believe the Skins at least have inquired about his possible interest (or had McLaurin do so on their behalf.

I think the Skins might be looking for a younger head coach who could be the guy for a long time to come.

Have you heard of that condition before? I'll be honest and admit to never even hearing of cysts on the membrane. Tumors in the brain yes, but never on the cover and not sure of the severity of his situation.

If his condition is NOT serious & the feeling is mutual to come to D.C. then I'd be okay with taking a shot with him. To me it would come down to how would his condition affect the team ops. We all have something or other to deal with, but if he's interested then why not?

Another possible aspect is he was playing up the severity to cut ties with Ohio St, and it was a mutual agreement to save face for both parties.

This truly makes me sad. I mean, all the excitement of Bruce Allen being gone, and what do the Skins do? They hire a mediocre coach before the FO is assembled. I just don't get it.

I talked about Snyder not understanding the importance of a strong foundation when building something...this is prime example.

I've heard reactions where people are super excited over Rivera. I just don't get it. He's a mediocre coach, and when compared to Jay Gruden over that time span, they have the same number of winning seasons, and overall Rivera accomplished far less when you take into account the talent he had to work with. Their super bowl season was an anomaly, and had more to do with Cam having a career year than it did Rivera's coaching.

A few of my coworkers are Redskins fans, and when talking football, we had one thing in common - we've never watched so few games in our lives. I didn't watch a single game in its entirety this season, and only watched parts of 4 of them. They just don't get me excited anymore. Then hiring a coach before the GM instead of letting the GM do his job, and that hire being Ron Rivera...that gives me even less to get excited about.

Of all the available coaches, he was at the bottom of my wish list. But at least Bruce Allen is gone. Not that it matters, Dan is right back to doing things bass ackwards. Wash, rinse, repeat. We've become the Browns, and quite frankly I find it difficult to even care anymore. I wish I liked another sport.
 
Kyle Smith from what I heard is very high on riverboat Ron. Look for a front office structure of eric Schaefer Team President.
kyle Smith GM, if the panthers fire Hurney look for him to be an assistant GM. Deangelo Hall May have a front office role also. Along with Doug Williams
 
I have the feeling that if they don't promote Kyle and/or Eric they will lose them. Whether that would be a devastating blow or not, I don't have an opinion although both have solid reputations.

Three winning seasons out of nine. Never back-to-back winning seasons.

This is apparently the most coveted coach of the offseason ...

I don't know if I want to lose them right now with Haskins, MCCalrin and the other youngins coming along. It'd be nice if just for once the team didn't have to learn yet another offense
