I'm old school. Hell, I'm old. So some of my favorites are as much about sentiment and memories as the candy itself.

I'll throw a few out.

1. Tootsie Rolls. Just damn good and a unique taste all their own. Later on, there were fruity versions, but I'm talking about your basic classic chocolate tootsie roll. Hard to beat.

2. Twizzlers. I was always fascinated by licorice (not the black kind, although there's a place for that too). Whether licorice whips, licorice string, whatever form it came in. Twizzlers were my go to movie candy. Not only could you eat the entire package which almost certainly left you bloated and sugar-toxic, but you could drink your giant soda through one too. Winning.

3. Peanut M&Ms. Just because. Delicious requiring no explanation.

4. Pez. Coolest candy delivery system. Ever. If you could only pick one food for the rest of your life? No question. Cherry Pez.

5. Atomic Fire Ball. You could buy them for a penny when I was a kid at the old fashioned hardware store a bike ride from my house. You could pluck a fermented dill pickle out of a giant barrel, and pull an ice cold coke from a machine (surely one of the most satisfying sounds of youth, the 'clunk' of that coke coming free.. Back to candy favorites...

I could go on and on, but I just wanted to get things started... let's hear from you all...

Bottle caps… wow - had forgotten about those. They always reminded me of ‘Fizzies’ which were tabs you put in a glass of water to make a soda like drink…

They've got 100 count of fizzies on Amazon, I might've just ordered them, good call , good ol Italy candy

Oh wow, I'm probably going to put a very British spin on this.

My top 5

1) Strawberry sherbets

2) Rhubarb and Custard

3) Strawberry Cables/Pencils

4) Jazzies (milk or white choc, I'm not fussy)

5) Strawberry milkshakes

There's a theme in there, I really like Strawberry. LOL

And in case you don't know what they are...

Wow. Have never seen or heard of any of those Knight...

Dark Chocolate Raspberry Jelly Rings
Candy Corn
Mary Janes
Toblerone Milk Chocolate
Dark Chocolate Nonpareils

My non-Redskins fan brother yelled out 'Squirrel Nut Zippers'

My all time favorite as a kid were the giant sweet tarts. They were one per pack and too big to put entirely in your mouth. I'm sure it was my Dentist's favorite candy too.

Another favorite candy were pixie sticks.

Blow pops and candy bracelets get an honorable mention.
