The TV Show suggestion thread

Sort of,The Wire did have continuing characters. I'm getting the feeling that season two will be a different story in a different location with two different detectives in the lead roles.

and the perceived change in story with season 2 was an essential part of the story line down the road more than it was a change in direction/cast/etc.

it'll be interesting to see what they do with it. i'd had to seem them recast only because it means a bunch of character building again :\

They were covering all aspects of the drug trade, and the ports were how the drugs were getting in. :)

most recent episode of shameless

I didn't realize spoilers show up in the recent posts feed. my apologies...

fiona got what was coming to her. this whole season has been a shift from her as a sympathetic figure to being a villain.

it's a shame this will probably force lip back into that life. he'll give up his full ride at MIT

Has anyone else gotten into Sherlock? I've recently been streaming it on Amazon Prime and it's reeled me in.

Hey this is Boone's wife and I love that show? Are you talking about the one on Sundays on PBS? I was all excited Sunday night but it wasn't on. How come only 3 episodes this season?

Hi Boone's wife. :)

I guess that is the one. An English production that stars Benedict Cumberbatch, among others?

I have never watched it on broadcast television. I just finished season 1 and am starting season 2 tonight on Amazon streaming. Both of the first two seasons are comprised of only three 1.5 hour episodes. Season 3 was also three episodes, according to IMDB, and ended on February 2nd.

That's the one! Thanks for the info!

And yes - Boone is real and he's spectacular!

House of Cards! Less than 24 hours!

Actually, midnight pacific standard so that means 3am est. I will be setting my alarm and starting the marathon. Now work tomorrow again and more snow Saturday. Perfect timing!

Actually, there was an internet push to have Netflix push the relase date ahead for all the stranded on the east coast.

I watched HOC after the season was finished. Do they put all of the episodes up at once or one at a time?

Every episode. I got into it well after the initial release too.

Well, woke up at 4am and could not get back to sleep. No work for me today because of the weather, so I decided to watch the 1st 2 episodes of House of Cards.

They have not missed a beat so far!

I read it's going to be a lot darker this season.

We'll probably watch the first episode tomorrow night, if not Sunday. I'm going to try not to binge on it, to watch one a week so that it lasts a while.

I am snowed in. Ha! I am likely going to watch the whole thing today. OK, not all but it won't take a week for me to watch it all. No discipline.

Interesting that the color yellow was also used quite often as a sign of foreboding in the series Breaking Bad.
