Damn I was disappointed for no Thrones episode this week. There is one more, the finale right?

I havent seen it yet, but as an avid reader of the books (multiple times over the years), I knew what was coming.

You cant predict this series and thats part of the beauty of it! Enjoy the ride!

Its interesting that they've pretty much completely left the Martells & Dorne out of the TV series...I wonder if they'll be introduced in the finale, or they'll wait until next season? I think its the latter, and they will wait to introduce the Red Viper and his part until next season. Seems like it would need some build-up, and there is just way too much to squeeze into one hour. At least I hope they don't try...
 
I gotta say, it was still awesome television even though I knew what was coming, but I kind of wish I hadn't read the books. Oh well.

EDIT: Damn...that was worded poorly again - spoilers for the episode that just aired, not the "last" episode as in the finale.

Well, that and I wasn't all that impressed with them.

Whoops, realized I worded it poorly again - that link contains spoilers for the episode that aired this past Sunday, not the "last" episode that is airing this coming Sunday.

Interesting about the gut punch - makes me think they are possibly going to deviate from the books.

Nope. The propensity for any character you might vaguely like to be offed at any random point in the story. By the end of Book 2 I was no longer enjoying the series.

Now, I am not one of those who thinks all major characters should live on to "happily ever after" either. You need a real sense that anyone can die for the story to have much in the way of suspense but you don't have to kill off major characters every 5 or 6 chapters to make that point.
