When you have good taste it never does. I don't think the caps are on TV here today but I'm looking.

I'm gonna smoke a Maduro black ops today and BBQ some burgers and dogs. Drink of choice...madras.

Have food in the fridge & clean water to drink.

Clothes on my back in a warm home.

GOD has blessed me with a wife that is too good for me, going on 24 years now.
 
My garden is finally getting much needed rain and I see flowers all over the plants.

It's coming up on the one year anniversary of my head injury and I'm still here 😂

Setting off fireworks in my backyard while a fire is going is the most simple of pleasures I can have. Music going, kids chasing lightning bugs, cold beers and a cigar going.
 
My wife is my rock and she is everything in the world to me.

I am healthy and able to do most of the things I enjoy at age 61.

My job pays me fairly, I work with some wonderful people, and my boss appreciates my skill set and work ethic.
 
We have reached the peak of summer over here and temps of 70-78 are forecasted over the next 10 days. 19 hours per day of sunlight and low humidity, as always.

We are flying to Oslo on Saturday to attend the outdoor Springsteen concert.

Taking the 6.5 hour Oslo to Bergen train journey on Monday to visit the city and to go fjord hunting.

I'm resurrecting this old thread, because frankly, I need my own positive thoughts. Here are my 3 good things for the day.

1. I have a devoted and caring wife who loves me and wants me to be happy.
2. I have a home that is paid for and will never have to worry about a warm, safe place to live.
3. My kids are smart, successful, and self-sufficient.

Encourage anyone who is interested to jump in.
 
1. I have two wonderful children who are successful and very good at many things as well as being caring and responsible people.

2. I have a woman who loves me dearly and takes great care of me.

3. After everything I've been through in my life I have a great job that pays me very well. I've been fortunate enough to save enough money for a comfortable retirement in my older years
 
1. I am in good health, some wear and tear especially secondary to my military service, but generally very lucky with no major issues. 🫰
2. I have a good job and work with people that value me.
3. I got a good night's sleep last night.
 
Today 3 good things:

1. I brought some homegrown Paw Paws to work for my co-workers to try. My mom loved Paw Paws as a kid and talked about them a lot as we were growing up. When I had my own kids I stumbled on a Paw Paw tree while camping on the James River. I brought seeds home and have had two trees growing in my yard for 20+ years. One of the last things I did for my Mom as she was dying was to bring her some fresh Paw Paws. So it’s a sweet association.

2. I slept like the dead last night.

3. I am in the process of dialing back some commitments so I can focus more time with my wife who is a saint and deserves more than I have been giving her.

1. The kids are back at school and they haven't refused to go back yet, 3 days in
2. My daughter's clarinet broke, but since we were renting it, she got a new one at no additional cost!
3. The people I work with and the company I work for are very supportive and value me as much as I value them.

Gotta keep my faith alive 'til love is found
Now ask yourself
Where is the love?
