In the event that Jayden Daniels is selected by Washington as it’s future QB in the upcoming draft…this is your dedicated home for any and all discussion.

Random trivia

Did you know that in the real world that coyotes are faster than roadrunners?

Also, when the first roadrunner cartoons were produced, Warner Bros. thought they had a huge flop. In fact, they were just about to can the character when they started hearing stories about how when Navy jets would pass each other in the air they would radio over "Meep meep" as they zipped by.

I did not, but if I had I still would have elected to use a roadrunner due to body type. 😉

This is the type of info I come to the internet for.

All the things surrounding him with this, I don't think Schefter is simply using an emoji from a tweet in order to come out and say this... I imagine someone from Jayden Daniel's side of thing has said something to him

Gotta love the supposition that the agent posting nothing but a 🤔 emoji to a tweet from @DrakeMayeMVP is ‘sounding out’ and explained what the player thought.

I hope Schefty didn’t injure himself on that reach.

Silly season personified.

I dont know, i have a hard time believing Schefty would be coming out like this if ALL it was, was the emoji.

He said the agent (@Agentbutler1) ‘sounded off‘ on social media. All he did was post an emoji. That is it. If Schefter had a source he would say so. He does that all the time.

well if that's the extent of it, yeah, it's laughable that he's drawing so much from it.

I guess Caleb Williams and Drake Maye just picked better agents.

The job of the agent is to maximize his client’s value and stay out of the way of making any adverse comments or media posts that might detract from that.

Well, yeah; SMART teams know that when they hire a guy, they have to deal with the AGENT a lot too. So it definitely matters, a lot, to the smart teams. It is a factor. I keep saying "smart" because I am pretty sure the main thing that drove the old regime was SPITE. It was always SPITE.

Just like it's horrible to follow someone great, it must be awesome to follow someone like Snyder. Seriously, I mean, the bar Harris has to clear to be a step up is basically underground.

IF Daniels is selected at #2 this agent, or any agent, really holds no sway. These contracts are slotted and predetermined. When an extension or 2nd contract is in play, the agent is vitally important.

If Daniels doesn’t know it yet…he certainly should by that time.

If this agent‘s immature and amateur behavior causes him to drop even one spot he has done a disservice to his client.

If Daniels wasn't irked by how Washington handled its visit, he ought to be upset with his agent. Maybe less for initial tweet as we all make mistakes, but more for his inability to defuse or eliminate the story. Really, the agent should have booked himself on ESPN and issued an explainer or apology even if it was insincere. I don't put any of this on Daniels' shoulders. It's all the agent... but at some point, the client does have to tell his agent to stop making him look bad because he's at risk of causing him money or reputational harm.

There hasn’t been much news on these quarterbacks overall.

The only two items I see are the flap a couple of weeks ago about Peters having a mid round grade on Daniels in 2022 and whether Daniels wanted to play here, and now this petty BS on social media from the agent.

Seems a comment from Daniels himself that he would be glad to be the #2 pick by Washington and start his NFL career here would dispel ALL of this crap.

But he’s been pretty quiet.

Interesting take...if you haven't seen it yet, click on it and read the entire thread.

That is an interesting take, and I actually agree with a bunch of that stuff.
I was listening to the JP FInlay 'Beltway Podcast' on the way to work this morning, and he reiterated that this is the way they did it at New England (when Peters was there) and then at San Francisco.
Honestly, it's about time we started to act like the better run franchises.

It's a new era, gents! Breathe in the fresh air! :D
