The one that I owned previously was trained by a german priest and he was an expert at it. The dog was amazing and listened to all verbal commands and hand signals. I think it took six months of daily training since birth. He used one of those metal choker chains, which I did not approve of, but afterwards I understood whyI figured you knew that and were willing to put in the time, energy and training needed. But I'm glad to hear you're not going to overcommit. Kudos.

I imagine that being the easiest breed to find at a rescue - not through any fault of their own, but I can easily see a lot of people taking a BM and not having any idea of the responsibilities
