The Pet Thread

Here is my adult male, weighing in at about 175 now, showing the 7 months old puppy who is boss.

He is such a laid back dog, never was too high strung as a puppy.

Her?

That bitch is a ball of Tasmanian Devil energy! Holy shit!:movefast::yikes:

Our senior cat Lucy has passed through the portal to the other side. RIP.

Im so sorry china.

I've recently become a head over heals full fledged cat dad and i dont even want to think about the day i have to say goodbye.

Best dog I ever had was a Belgian Malinois, I want another but I'm not sure that I have the energy for that dog at this time.

I really want one again! 🥰

So sorry, China ... I know losing Zeke was hard on you too. Vicki passed away a few months ago, and Sabrina just literally howls for her sister.

I had about 20 cats at one time, but I sold my house and the new owner demolished the covered deck...my neighborhood ones no longer have shelter and I worry about them. Down to my 2 little black girls, who fight for the right spot on the Redskins blanket my mom made.

Still jonesing for another Malinois 🥰

Miami. My hesitancy is they are very high maintenance

Great link, thank you!!!

I figured you knew that and were willing to put in the time, energy and training needed. But I'm glad to hear you're not going to overcommit. Kudos.

That conversation took a weird 180.

Im over here googling malinois cat trying to figure out what the hell kinda cat is high maintenance.
🤣

The one that I owned previously was trained by a german priest and he was an expert at it. The dog was amazing and listened to all verbal commands and hand signals. I think it took six months of daily training since birth. He used one of those metal choker chains, which I did not approve of, but afterwards I understood why

Our last remaining pet (I don't count our fish) turned 16 yesterday and promptly disappeared. Luna, our last kitty, has been a good one. She has been declining for quite awhile. Yesterday she would not eat or drink and did not even want to hop up on our laps for pets which is something she has done her entire life every morning. One thing I hate about cats - they just disappear when it's time to go and you don't really get to say goodbye. She was a good one.

Not sure where you are, but you should be able to find one at a rescue:

I imagine that being the easiest breed to find at a rescue - not through any fault of their own, but I can easily see a lot of people taking a BM and not having any idea of the responsibilities

It’s a race to second on the list for any breed that is not a Pit.
