I found a good deal on wagyu beef sold in 3 packages of 1lb. Each one is a square so I used a bread knife and sliced the beef across the middle making 2 1/2 pound patties and cooking them just like that and they end up being 10x better versions of the Wendy's burger.

All over YT and just about everywhere, people say "Oh, you have to use American cheese because it's a MELTY cheese. Nothing melts like American!..." Blah blah blah.

Sorry, but while American is very melty, you can use whatever cheese you want. All you need is a melting dome. A melting dome will melt cheddar, Swiss, whatever it is you like. It'll even melt bleu cheese! Bleu cheese is about as non-melty as it gets. Get a melting dome. Works much better than foil. Make sure you get one with an insulated handle.
