To be honest I had zero expectations going into this game considering the circumstances. I'm not upset by the outcome but the way it played out was ultimately a disappointment. It's like the high school prom all over again. The pretty girl that said yes and led me to believe that I was going to get lucky at the end of the night only to disappoint. That shouldn't have been a surprise but one can hope.
This result shouldn't have been a surprise either, we see it play out across the league every week. Bad team scores early and holds it's own into halftime. Better team comes out of the locker room after a WTF session, wakes up, and gets to business.
I hold no animosity towards Cousins, he is what he is: the classic JAG. That's not his fault.
Some here seem to believe that Gruden bears zero responsibility in the fact that we don't have a competent qb. I vehemently disagree. Unless there is a master plan playing out where an organizational decision has been made to live with this at the position for this year.
Gruden to me is a career coordinator (maybe). He doesn't strike me as difference maker at the head coach position in any way, shape, or form. Call that negativity if you want, but I fail to see how we would take any kind of a step back were he gone at the end of this season. And that says it all to me.
