The Glitch, Bug, and Feedback Thread

1. Avoid getting links from Spam and Porn Sites

Google takes these two keywords very very seriously because they don’t like Spam and Porn keywords which harm to users. If you are planning to get any backlinks then try to avoid listing it in Spam and Porn sites, So try to avoid listing your websites in that kind of website.

I don't understand this - if this is the case, then why does Google allow porn to be searched and found through its search engine ?

Or does that rule only apply to sites that are not "designated" as porn sites ?

Software went blog crazy - reposting blogs from a few days ago to several weeks ago.

We had to do some recoding to get the RSS feeds to post new blog entries to the 'Member Blogs' forum in addition to the 'Sons of Washington' forum. That's fixed now but in the process it did pull some old entries.

Thanks for the update.

Got something of a suggestion here...

It is difficult to tell the sticky threads from the main threads. I know that it's just part of the new style/format, but maybe we can have a permanent sticky separation thread (that is locked with no replies) in each forum. It can say "Separation Thread", "Separation Sticky", or all asterisks - just something to distinguish between stickies and regulars.

Light grey on black for the Blognostications is extremely hard on the eyes...

Can you enable/add/install the spoiler tag? it allows you to wrap content with a tag such that when it is viewed it is hidden, but can easily be revealed by clicking the 'show' button.

Would really help with the TV show/movie conversations in my opinion.

I'll take a look at this and see what I can do

Just wondering.

Are members going to ads too? I did pay the annual fee a few days ago. I know there was a refund at the end of August, but that was a mistake by PayPal. I paid a second time. Part of the problem stems from an old CC that I used and replaced with a newer one, hence the change.

No - Premium Members get the ad-free version. I'm not sure why but although you do have a Premium subscription thru 9/14 it put you in a 'registered' user group. I've fixed it now.

New (for me) weirdness in the text editor, both quick and advanced, the preview box shows a 'burgundy' background with virtually illegible gray text.

Editor selection icon WYSIWYG is white, source mode shows dark 'burgundy' (may have always been that way, just didn't notice 'til preview screen buggered up.

quotes in preview as white background with black font

Don't recall resetting any options, no recent video driver installs, etc..

I will post this up and look at how it shows in the thread.

Post looks normal in the thread, going back to advance mode preview during edit shows same weirdness.

Hey Tom, yeah we had some coding work installed today to spice up our Blog section...we have noted quite a few color formatting issues since installing that code. We're working with our coders and hopefully will have things back to normal.

And btw for those who experienced chat room wackiness we believe we've got all those issues fixed.

Is there any way to separate the sticky threads visually at the top of the page? Or maybe a separator?

Probably and BB has made the same request ...we'll work on this ASAP.

here is a question and it is not meant to stir up any ****.

is there a way to "ignore" people in the chat when we use it on Sundays? And not just the "dont pay attention" kind of ignore..

No - we don't have that as an option

What the heck? Just got some crazy hacked message when trying to get to the site via chrome on PC.

This was using FireFox on a PC, when I clicked the forum link on the top bar.
