every time after I put my password in it takes me to this page. from my mobile as well as my PC. I thought I was Premium but I think this might be something else.

I also get this when I first hit my bookmark for the page, but it all works just fine once I click on forums

Yep, this is exactly what happens to me. I changed my home page to the Forums page, and it's fine now, except for when I use my Kindle.

So (other than Mike), you're using a loaded bookmark to get to the site? I'm also assuming that when you created the bookmark, you set it to the 'Forums' page - is that right? It may be due to our changing the default landing page to the 'Home' page vs. the 'Forums' page. Try deleting the bookmark and recreating it. Let me know if that resolves the problem.

Mike - you're typing in the address and getting that warning every time? Can you clear the cache via whatever browser you're using and see if that fixes it?

I've had this happen twice now.

I type in the quick reply, hit post quick reply. It spins for 5 seconds, then prompts me about leaving the page saying if I leave the page changes will be lost.

If I choose 'Stay on page' it keeps my text in the quick reply, but if i hit post quick reply it gives the 30 second timer about posting twice in a row.

If I choose 'leave this page' it goes to the thread by my reply doesn't show up. If i refresh the page my reply shows up.

Could certainly be something on my end. I'll post more as I find it.

We're having an issue with the front page loading at the moment--might be the root cause. Workin' it...

We're asking our coders to take a look at what we can do to speed things up. Stay tuned.

The favicon is the default for the software...nothing critical.

Also, the + Reply to Thread button doesn't always work...tried it in Firefox and Chrome. The 'waiting' gif in the 'Quick Reply' bar fires off, but the editing box doesn't always show up...more often times, it does not show up.

Any editing or posting actions are fairly slow.

I really, really like the new scheme...very readable for my old eyes.

Mark - could you take a look at the reply thing, those settings are confusing to me

is the chat feature going to work with this upgrade?

Yes. We are upgrading the chat tool to enable chatting on mobile devices. It'll look more or less the same. Hope to have that done this week.

As I mentioned to LL in pm, the pop-up functionality we had on the old site was actually a modification. vBulletin does have what they call 'Pop-Up Private Messaging' (and I just turned it on) which will pop-up a notification letting you know you HAVE a PM and contains a link to open it, but it's not quite the functionality we had before. I'll look into whether that modification is available for this vBulletin version though.

Regarding the issue of unexpected messages showing up when first opening BGO and logging in perhaps tis information may be helpful

I typed "bgobsession.com" in the address bar of the following browsers on my laptop.

Chrome version 27.0.1453.116

Firefox 22.0

Opera 12.15

Maxton 3.4.5.2000

This message showed up on all of them-both cache and cookies were cleared before this was done, by the way.

Are we supposed to be allowed to edit titles of threads we create? I can click go advanced and when I edit the title it edits the title inside the thread but the title that shows up in the thread listings doesn't change.

Something else I did a short time ago - upgraded to IE10. Maybe that helped, maybe not. Seems like it didn't hurt anything though.

Before, when you finished reading the last post in a thread, in the "Quick Navigation" box, there was a "Go" button next to the forum you were in that took you back to that forum's 1st page, fully refreshed. Now, it's a "Top" button that takes you back to the top of the page you just finished reading. And if you want to remain in the forum, you have to select the drop down menu, scroll to the forum, and reselect it.

Or, maybe I'm just missing something.

Were it not for the 46" HDTV I received as compensation from the site owners, for the down time during the upgrade, I would write my congressman to file a complaint.

That is a nice compensation package - even though it is quite small. Most of us got the 150" Panasonic HDTV. It's incredible and worth the downtime that was lost.

For anyone who was getting that initial 'you do not have permission to access this page' warning when coming to the www.bgobsession.com address, looks like we have got that fixed. Make sure you clear your browser cache and let us know if anyone continues to have a problem.

Chat rooms should be functional tonight. Next big effort will be to speed up site performance and we'll also keep working on some of the other glitches/requests in this thread.

On a side note, really happy with our new Arcade...
