Yeah, I was thinking the same but didn't want to say it before digging in to the numbers, and its been all I can do to keep up with posting about the signings while still getting my work done. LOL

Ive been listening off and on to radio today so many fans are pissed that we are not signing expensive high profile players, saying the guys we are signing are no better than the previous guys. But my guess is the same folks would be saying we are acting like dan snyder if we were doing exactly that .

Chinn is another good signing imo; can play in the nickel and compete for a starting spot also. Again, money is right as well.

So far and with obviously a lot of time left, I would give our Free Agency a B+.

It's kind of crazy. We have signed more free agents than a starting unit. There are eleven players on one side of the ball and we have signed what thirteen, fourteen players? And here I was expecting a relatively inactive first wave of free agency. We have patched, spackled, and reboarded the Minnow. It may not be the final renovation, but the intention is to make this boat seaworthy.

Yep. But we're gonna miss him in 2024. He was a good 30% of our offense.

and how many of our own FA did we sign 0 so far,,,,
Exactly. Through so many of these transitions we've seen a transfusion, but at the same time there was a sense of let's evaluate the roster through the season. Peters and Quinn looked at the pantry and decided the cupboard was bare or expired. There's little wait and see or make do. It's, "This isn't good enough. Throw it out."

as far as our own FA, i don't think it's a shocker that only 2 of our FAs have even been signed.

Jacoby Brissett
Antonio Gibson

That's It... so it's not just us. I think there are a couple guys that will be starters (or major contributors) elsewhere, but not likely at the price they're asking.

Rumored the Chiefs are working on a deal for him, but don't think it's final yet.

I think that's a good fit for him. Samuel belongs on a team ready to run. I think we're still a team with its training wheels attached.

If it happens, Samuels to the Chiefs is a fantastic fit. He could be a pro bowler in that offense. And they should pay him more than anyone else offers him to make it happen.

I wonder if the door is still open for Curl if the market isn't there for him? He had an off year last year, but he had been one of our better players though maybe we view him on a sliding scale since he was one of our few low round draft picks to make solid contributions.

I think we already brought in his replacement.
