The Bombshell

I'm sorry but who the f is sassy? I know I said I wouldn't post in this thread again but after spending almost 70k to clear my name I really dgaf, ban me, who cares, then give me my fucking deposit back from earlier this year. This is becoming a fucking circle jerk. Especially after John's dismissive "I was hit on and had talked to my boss post".

Jay Gruden was as seedy as Bruce in his own way.

Those videos on Instagram showed a hammered coach at the end of a party being propped up outside by what looked like a high school or college age girl.

This guy evidently has his own issues.
check the text exchange between him and DJ that just hit social meida.

I don't know where this comes from, brother, but it's over the line. If you hate the conversation that much, walk away from it.

Mark, you aren't walking away from it, why should I?

Hey - honestly, I must've missed something. I saw Mike's reference to you having had a bad experience but that's all I saw. I would never 'dismiss' anyone's experience. I wasn't AWARE of your experience and wasn't comparing mine to anyone else's (and as you alluded to, my small little experience was no big deal in the grand scheme). I was simply trying to acknowledge I know that is a real thing. I'll go back and re-read this whole thread and try to figure out what I missed as clearly I did miss something you posted.

I don't see the Redskins having an old boys club and tolerating bad behavior as having anything to do with the reality that there have been people who have been wrongfully accused. There are pigs who masquerade as good guys, and there are great people who get accused and did nothing to warrant any action. I don't understand why those two obvious possibilities don't co-exist together? Your experience has nothing to do with whatever did or did not go on in Ashburn, at least that's my perspective. Doesn't mean you weren't totally done wrong or didn't have your life turned upside down - whatever happened.

I hate that I offended you. I really wasn't aware of whatever happened to you and wouldn't denigrate that regardless.

If you want your donation back, I'll be glad to do that.

Perhaps we can lock this thread for about 24 hours, cool off, talk about other things in various threads, and break bread elsewhere for a while. What do you think? I had to leave for a bit and I thought things would calm down somewhat. Perhaps taking a breather from this thread will help.

John, what I want, is everyone to take a deep breath, it's been rough for all of us with the name "thing" these past few weeks and now were all on edge, but family survives through difficult times and its starting to feel like weve starting to stop, just listening helps which is tough through a keyboard , its painful, I'm just witnessing people be torn apart and to be honest were here for a reason, and it feels like that's taken from us. Now this, I get it were all stressed, but let's just take a deep breath and say HAIL TO THE REDSKINS, because that bond is why were here.

So SkinsOrlando - I see why you're upset brother. I probably would be too the way my response read (now that I have some context). I did not mean to trivialize or discount your experience in any way, but my post was poorly-worded. I guess if I had it to do over again, I'd say 'I know that some men have been accused wrongly and that's just as terrible. It might also argue to slow down and let all of the facts come to light before making harsh judgments. In this case, Snyder and the folks he's surrounded himself with don't get much benefit of the doubt from me'. That's really what I was trying to say.

Apologies.

Things will settle down. Everyone's likely tired of all of this bullshit and it's not always easy to convey what you mean in quickly written forum responses. It is an emotional topic. End of the day, sometimes you have to argue with your friends. When the dust settles, we'll hopefully all still be friends.

I'd most like haphazard's pumpkin moonshine, miss him

Haphazard.

I really miss Arthur. I would like to send him one more email.

There are a lot of acronyms being bandied about.

The only one that raised my eyebrows was NDA.

I haven't had a chance to really express myself since I have been in and out of the office all day and have bee really trying to absorb everything that has transpired in the last 5 days.

However, I made a suggestion for some of the men of this board. So I am still waiting for some of them, to apologize to the women who were in those chats...the same men who are so outraged by the poor behavior of the FO personnel yet ogled over the cheer leader images I used to post.

You participated in the same behavior you clamor against now.

And I saw many of those same guys attack Ryman for suggesting the news was not as shocking as the twitterverse suggested. .

Yes, like Ryan tried to express, the actions of those men at Redskins Park was abhorrent behavior, but it wasn't shocking...that's just something that would be another in the long line of shitty things we have discovered about the atmosphere Dan Snyder has created. Shocking would be a body found in the Potomac by his house, drug use that was suggested, the sex slave theory...those things would be shocking.

Snyder has killed this team, that's why sexual harassment wasn't the shocking news we all expected. That same behavior happens in every men's professional sports' venues. That doesn't mean I accept the behavior, it doesn't mean that my attitude will perpetuate the behavior, it means that it's a common occurrence so to be shocked over it is a bit overzealous.

Now, if you want to say your outraged, I get that. It's definitely outrageous behavior, and we'd all like to see a better world. But to say the behavior is shocking after the build up to the release of the news, that drugs and sex slaves may have been involved...when it all boiled down to sexual harassment, not what was suggested by the media and their minions speculating.

But go ahead attack Ryman for accurately stating it wasn't a surprise. Many of you know you were expecting more than dudes who don't know how to handle themselves around women. Even some have stated they expect to hear more, while attacking Ryman. And don't preach to me about minimizing the feelings of the victims...like I mentioned, many of you are the same men who would look at those images of the cheer leaders and make lewd comments, with ladies present.

I know I'm guilty, and I've taken action to remedy it. Now, if you know who you are and want to be outraged by what happened in that front office, calling it shocking behavior, repent now! And if you don't know who you are, I do.
