I haven't had a chance to really express myself since I have been in and out of the office all day and have bee really trying to absorb everything that has transpired in the last 5 days.
However, I made a suggestion for some of the men of this board. So I am still waiting for some of them, to apologize to the women who were in those chats...the same men who are so outraged by the poor behavior of the FO personnel yet ogled over the cheer leader images I used to post.
You participated in the same behavior you clamor against now.
And I saw many of those same guys attack Ryman for suggesting the news was not as shocking as the twitterverse suggested. .
Yes, like Ryan tried to express, the actions of those men at Redskins Park was abhorrent behavior, but it wasn't shocking...that's just something that would be another in the long line of shitty things we have discovered about the atmosphere Dan Snyder has created. Shocking would be a body found in the Potomac by his house, drug use that was suggested, the sex slave theory...those things would be shocking.
Snyder has killed this team, that's why sexual harassment wasn't the shocking news we all expected. That same behavior happens in every men's professional sports' venues. That doesn't mean I accept the behavior, it doesn't mean that my attitude will perpetuate the behavior, it means that it's a common occurrence so to be shocked over it is a bit overzealous.
Now, if you want to say your outraged, I get that. It's definitely outrageous behavior, and we'd all like to see a better world. But to say the behavior is shocking after the build up to the release of the news, that drugs and sex slaves may have been involved...when it all boiled down to sexual harassment, not what was suggested by the media and their minions speculating.
But go ahead attack Ryman for accurately stating it wasn't a surprise. Many of you know you were expecting more than dudes who don't know how to handle themselves around women. Even some have stated they expect to hear more, while attacking Ryman. And don't preach to me about minimizing the feelings of the victims...like I mentioned, many of you are the same men who would look at those images of the cheer leaders and make lewd comments, with ladies present.
I know I'm guilty, and I've taken action to remedy it. Now, if you know who you are and want to be outraged by what happened in that front office, calling it shocking behavior, repent now! And if you don't know who you are, I do.
