I am glad we have a tough hand in the negotiation room, and I know everyone wants to tap dance on the agent, but I kinda feel like this settled out at the correct numbers? It's not low and its not exorbitant.

if I recall correctly SIPs prediction he pretty much nailed it, he said I think $28M AAV with maybe a little more and no more than $30M. The incentives are like a prove it deal each year; if he performs like he thinks he can then he gets paid.

Fair market deal for both parties.

Yeah if I understand it (and I still want the annual breakdown, these aren’t actually the full details) it’s $44M between this year and next and $6M in 2027. Could definitely be wrong on that so if someone understands better please let me know.

I don't think frustrations from a negotiation would carry on past the negotiation ending. If anything, you want optionality in case production cliff rears its head.

That is to say, if they were sick of him, the person, they would have just played out the current deal.

Terry's numbers are not off the charts unreasonable by any stretch and the team gets it appears that unguaranteed last year which may end up being very important under the cap at the time.

Jerry Jones looks like he is going down the rabbit hole with contracts on his team and now has issues with some great younger players on his roster that will be looking for new deals because he gave Dak Prescott WAY TOO MUCH money and misjudged that Dak was in fact an elite quarterback when he is not.

In Cincinnati the issues with Hendrickson resolved in a one year deal but that's a push to 2026 as the Bengals had to use their #1 pick on a DE as insurance against Hendrickson's status in April.

The club would have been much better off trading Tee Higgins LAST YEAR, resigning Hendrickson and then upgrading the defense with a top pick at CORNERBACK which is the team's glaring weakness.

Hey my prediction wasn't far off!

The way Rapaport phrased it also implies his 2025 salary that was non-guaranteed, now is, which for all intents and purposes subtracts from the "new" Total Guaranteed amount. So the team got a little bit taken off the higher APY guess with lower guarantees.

Terry got a big pay bump, more long term security, and the team got a deal that made sense with his comparisons.
