At first glance it appears Terry won and AP buckled. It also would mean Buddy Baker may earn some credit in the eyes of some players
That, sir, is a shrimp fork. Also, your perspective on Terry and Peter’s would probably change a bit if you immersed yourself in the Micah-Jerry-Cowboys debacle for the last month or so like I did lol…compared to that, the Mclaurin/Peters issue was like they were arguing over which fork you’re supposed to use at a fancy dinner party.
Thing is we already controlled Terry for at least 2 years. He was under contract for this season and the Franchise tag next year would have been less than this contract he just agreed too.Again, the Steelers contaminated the WR market by paying a sub-par DK Metcalf off his 2024 numbers a top contract.
And perhaps Washington can't complain that much as club owners and GMs around the league were upset for 10-15 years when Dan Snyder was doing this kind of thing.
As it is McLaurin's deal may end up being for 2 years, depending upon the guarantees, incentives, etc.
When Washington did not draft a wide receiver in Round 1 or 2 of the draft or acquire a potential deep threat in trade, it made the team that much more dependent upon McLaurin coming back.
And based upon what we have seen so far from Conerly and Amos I think Peters did the right thing.
Eager to see the contract details and I hope that TM caved into AP's demands myself. I want this team to have a GM that handles the business portion rather than a player or players. At first glance it appears Terry won and AP buckled. Still doesn’t really tell us much, we need the full amount of guarantees and the structure to really know who, if anyone, caved
I must admit that this tweet brought a tear to my eye.
In my fan career I experienced the entire Snyder circus. Where is my bonus?

Kinda lose a little respect for Nicki with these type of quotes. He has been paid well in Washington
wait for the actual numbers. my bet is that the aav isn't really reflective of reality.I honestly dont get it. If the team was going to cave to his demands than why have the drama all of camp. Should have done it from the beginning. Unless Terry was truly asking for an outrageous amount of money. This is a lot of cake for a 30 YO receiver heading into his twilight years.
Yeah, I know. Didn't agree with her take through this negotiation (or lack there of) periodI don’t think she said otherwise, though…

Echo chamber is having your beliefs bounced back to you again and again, over and over and over, without hearing much of anything else.
Does it really matter who “caved,” though…or if either side even caved at all? I guess in a way it’s better for the franchise moving forward if the GM and owner did not cave, but will probably be impossible for anyone to know if this was one side caving or just both sides going through whatever they needed to do to reach a compromise.
Because I’m doubting that Peters will pull a Bruce Allen and announce what his offer was to Terry in a press release lol…
