The All Things Terry Thread

I’ve always leaned to the player side in contract negotiations. Teams generally have so much leverage, it’s hard not to.

I’ve also always leaned in Terry’s favor, even when folks were calling him washed up 2 weeks into last season.

That’s how absurd Terry’s expectations and entitlement is in this scenario.

this is where I think the criticisms of the agent is fair. this sort of, borderline, nuclear option has to have been discussed between Terry and Buddy. imo, either Buddy is completely incompetent and/or blinded by his desire to be a big-time agent or Terry and Buddy are both in LaLa land. they have no leverage to dictate anything. I can't understand how they don't see that. their negotiating posture would only be marginally improved if terry wasn't already under contract. with him under contract, they are the commanders' bitch. Terry could have 1400+ yards and double digit touchdowns this year. they aren't getting DK money next year at AAV.

That said, I’ve never thought her reporting was that good or well sourced. And successful GM could be Bruce Allen for all we know. He was executive of the year with the raiders. So it wouldn’t be an entire lie. (Though disingenuous at best.)

Take the offer off the table. May him play for his $15 million I. Salary this year, and the franchise tag next year. If he looks like he deserves that level of financial commitment.

Interesting - lots of fans begging their teams to trade for McLaurin. We could find a team willing to give us quite a bit of compensation after all.
