The All Things Terry Thread

His Mom is now his agent iirc, sooo
yeah, I know that. I meant like getting too much on camera and being public rather than doing what the typical agent does or should be doing. I just don't want her lavar ball-ing this thing. no JD5-brand shoes plz!

It's gonna be effing rough around here when Jayden's negotiation time comes

Gonna melt the place down.

I actually think it wasnt that bad around here. The bigger issue was social media and radio call ins / hosts.

MOST of the redundancy over the last 100+ pages was the same conversations over and over and they usually settled down to similar figures. Nobody wanted Terry to set the market. Most believed there would in fact be a resolution, and a lot of exploration regarding all possible scenarios.

Jayden has the ability to be something this city has only seen 1 time in the last 30 years. The best at his position in the league. The only other time that happened.... Alex Ovechkin. IF, MASSIVE IF, Jayden continues to develop and gets into the conversation of top 5 QB in the NFL, and is in the same conversation as the tops, the expectation is going to be re-setting the QB market. If anyone is wanting us to 'win' a negotiation with Jayden and his mom, I have some beach front property in Iowa for sale if you're interested.

For me, “mopey hoodie ‘performances’“ ranks right below “Socks didn’t match” on the Top 50 Things To Make Me Think Less Of Terry Mclaurin list lol…

This is the side effect of being hopelessly addicted and locked in to the minutiae of our NFL team (of which I am a card carrying member). Like 75% of fans watching in the stadium and on TV are barely gonna know it happened.

Not real life. Spotrac would be incorrect.

He has a $30M signing bonus, so there will be Dead Cap if cut no matter what.

I believe you can designate it post June 1 and avoid that. Wont matter though because they’ll restructure unless something catastrophic happens.

Edit- actually it just updated to show $18M dead cap.

Nah that will be fairly simple. Just take whatever the top QB contract is and add a little bit.

Disagree, it's not just gonna reset the market, it's gonna detonate a nuke on the market.

And it'll be worth every penny, but some will find it gaudy, and dislike the machinations on how we end up wherever we end up (the sky, the limit, etc).

depending on how the next couple years go, I wouldn't be mad at a Mahomes type LOOOONG term contract.

At this point, Terry is back, the team is intact and ready to start the season. Each side feels they walked away with a win for the contract. Lets just play ball! (Not like Califan007 in the above post) :ROFLMAO:

Yep…I mean, if Kirk stinkin’ Cousins can usher in a new era of fully guaranteed contracts, Jayden Daniels could toss the entire league into another dimension lol…(provided he becomes what what almost everyone thinks he can become)

Well done by our FO, glad to have competent leadership for a change. And we'll have a #17 replacement soon enough. He won't be here 4 more years

I figured he would hold out to the last possible moment to get the best possible deal but Peters would not cave. They both did that and I don’t begrudge Terry for trying.

As to his attitude/histrionics (yes they were all that) I vote we beat on him for the next couple of days and then let it go. He’s on the team, he’s good on the field and in the locker room, and Fudge the rest of it.

The most important thing for me: we have a GM we can trust.

and I think we have some bigger issues to worry about on the roster beyond what Terry McLaurin might be able to do at age 33.

right now I am looking for this team to find a capable backup center, kicker and depth at safety.

Safety feels ok to me but didn't before camp. WR felt ok for me before camp but not anymore. It might take some time for Terry to ramp up. Noah, too.

Lane and Deebo seem to be looking good but they are both at slot. If Noah has his typical injuries who is playing Z?
