The 2027 Draft Thread

Love this jump start KDawg !

I became a fan of Ben Roberts this year while watching his now pro teammates. He is solid and will be watching him over the year. I can't believe what the Texas Tech program has done over thee past couple of years.

If Villamu-Asa is ale to return to form or better, he is going to be a monster. Those two ACLs are going to scare teams even if he returns to dynamo form.

Agree - I wouldn't be surprised to see Roberts be the top off ball guy in class.

Biles is fun, too. I can see him being an outside backer. Very dynamic.

How does the wide receiver group look in next year's draft? Is it a strong draft class for wide receivers? With Terry getting up there in age and us not having a real number two I'm really worried about this

Man, I’m posting all these scouting takes and no one is reading them 😞

I've read your multiple updates and I'm sure other people have as well and we appreciate your work. Right now I'm mostly concerned about wide receiver and secondary

The wide receiver class is fucking loaded

10Cam Coleman, WR, Texas - High end prospect who is making the move from Auburn to Texas - has everything you want in a receiver, needs to put it together to keep stock high
This is another one of these guys I am going to be keeping an eye on this year. He has the potential to explode playing with Manning. I will be particularly trying to see if he can separate when facing physical DB's and hoping he works on his route running. I am afraid things might come to easy in Texas for him and he doesn't hone those skills but man, I really like his pottential

Yeah, I'm really curious about seeing him in a different offense. Agree with the things you mention. Supposedly his measurements are 6'3 on the dot and 210. His leaping ability is absolutely insane, and he's a natural hands catcher in that he'd prefer to attack the ball in the air than wait for it to drop in the bucket.

His routes are one thing he can hopefully improve by next season. Some of his in breaking cuts are uhh...not snappy. Rounded more like a banana, and telegraphed to the opponent like it too. But you can readily see potential to get better. I mean anybody who contorts his body like that in midair has to have the capability to improve in other parts of his game.

LOADED!

This was my post on the first page.

Now THIS is the draft to go WR first round and there are some monsters in this one

Cam Coleman-Texas
Jeremiah Smith-OSU
Ryan Williams-Bama
Nick Marsh-Indiana
Wesco-Clemson
TJ Moore-Clemson
Nyck Harbor-South Carolina (my ideal WR to pair with Jayden) 6’5 235 with Olympic speed

And that isn't even including Trey'Dez Green who is technically a TE, but could be a #1 option because he's that good. He's going to be ELITE and break some records this year at LSU, mark my words.

One player I will be keeping an eye on this year is LSU's Safety Dashawn Spears. 6'3" 208 ran a 4.43. Really good run defender, tackler and a rangy good coverage guy. He has the potential to play deep high. He just has not had enough reps (playtime) . I am hoping he never leaves the field this year, shows he has learned a lot and sows good instincts. He is estimated to go late round one to mid round two.

The team is excited about Spears, they’re moving him to STAR so he’s going to be a jack of all trades back there.
Green, Benefield, and Seaton are still my picks to be first rounders (funny enough Seaton and Benefield were second team preseason all American) but Spears could definitely play himself into the first round.
