For my first film watch of guys, I like to watch highlights to get a feel for the player's style (and I use what I watch during the season), and then I go game by game by game. I'm not going to go super in-depth here. The 2026 draft is still going
Nick Marsh, WR, Michigan State (Transferred to Indiana for 2026) - I started with a guy who isn't as obvious in the receiver class. True X receiver, some say he's a 3rd round projection but... not a chance (there is a caveat). This guy is a high first. Projected 4.38 forty, 6-3, 205. Need to see improved hands, looking at his numbers he had a pretty high drop rate last year. That's the issue. He needs to correct that to be in the big name mix. But he is a big, strong receiver that can pluck the ball in traffic, break tackles and run away from guys. Everything you want from your X. Not much position versatility. His improvements in 2026 are going to make or break him.
Jeremiah Smith, WR, Ohio State - Now let's talk about Jeremiah Smith. Two seasons at Ohio State 87/1315/15 in '24, 87/1243/12 in '25. 6-3 225 and a projected 4.32 forty. Barring some astronomical collapse next year... I'd trade whatever assets needed to try to get in range to take this guy. But he very likely goes top 3, and I wouldn't be surprised if he goes 1 depending who gets that pick. Runs a diverse route tree, plays in the slot and outside. Smooth in and out of his breaks. Hands catcher. Strong at the point of attack. Uses his body as a shield. Fast. Elusive. Good route stems. Understands leverage. Good instincts as a runner. I mean... this dude is the best receiving prospect in quite some time.
Cam Coleman, WR, Auburn (Transferred to Texas for 2026) - 6-3, 200, 4.42 projected forty. Doesn't have the production you'd like but at the same time it's still very good. He and Arch are going to make and break each other's stock for '26 together. Athletic guy. Good size and play strength. His strength is the deep ball and high points the ball with the best of them. Has a diverse route tree. He's kinda weird because for a dude that leaps over defenders he also is kind of stiff hipped.
Ryan Williams, WR, Alabama - So, this guy is a strange one. One of the top receivers coming out. 48/865/8 in '24 and then 49/689/4 in '25. 6-0 but a small 175ish. Projected 4/28 forty. Consistency is the name of this guy's game. YAC machine, good route runner, YOUNG. He has drops in big moments and tends to disappear when the moments are the biggest. He's another guy who needs a real strong '26.
TJ Moore, WR, Clemson - 6-3, 200, 4.42 projected forty, averages 48.5/744/4.5 in two seasons. He's another real young guy, uses his frame well, finds the deep ball, had a stupid one hand catch against SMU that was absolutely incredible. Isn't a major contested catch guy, can disappear at times. I think he is a tier below the other guys so far.
Charlie Becker, WR, Indiana - 6-4, 204, projected 4.46 forty. He's a virtual unknown aside from his ascension last year with Indiana. Production low, but he was surrounded by production thieves, so 2026 will be interesting. Can get vertical and catches everything thrown at him. Even when he is getting absolutely lit up, he hauls the pass in if it's anywhere near him. He is a playmaker and a reliable chain mover. And when the moment is the biggest is when he does his best work. Doesn't run many routes besides comebacks, digs and verts, really. He could blow up his stock this year, though. But I think he will be WR2 in Indiana with Marsh there, so his production may not blow up. Still, I think a good year with an expanded route tree really draws some eyes.
There's obviously a ton more guys to talk about and watch, but these are the first guys I watched for receivers.
