Eagles agreed to terms on a one-year contract with TE Dallas Goedert.
He’s been brokering a deal to help them with their cap situation, which loops into the AJ Brown situation….

Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert will remain in Philadelphia.

The Eagles and Goedert have agreed to a new one-year contract, according to multiple reports.

Goedert's contract was supposed to void at the start of the league year, but he and the team agreed to push the void date back to give them more time to negotiate a new deal. That paid off, and the new deal is done.

If Goedert's contract had voided, a $20.5 million charge would have hit the salary cap this year. That would have been rough for the Eagles, both losing their starting tight end and losing cap space. So a new deal for Goedert was a top priority in Philadelphia, and now that job is complete.

I think he's going to get AAV of $20-25M because of his package of skills - elite blocking, elite contested catch rate. My guess is he wants a 4-year deal like others have gotten this year (Pierce, Doubs, Robinson). Thing is, Jennings is around 3 years older than that trio of 25-year-olds, so I'm also guessing clubs have been offering 2-3 years. I think he'll either get 3/75 or, if enough clubs are involved, maybe 4/85. He's going to get more than he should because 2026 has turned into a lucrative FA year for WRs.
That’s a steep price, right? Not sure I’d go anywhere near that…

Given he had them by the balls, I wonder how much he is going to get for this 1 year

Don’t think we have the assets (or the will) to make that trade and I really don’t think the Eagles would pull the trigger. Draft is where we get the #2 WR IMO.

I’m also not trading for a 28yo WR who has had decreasing production. We need to start getting younger at WR.

I would be quite happy if we signed Jennings

Meanwhile, JCM's heard the news about bringing in more RB's. LOL

I saw this earlier today and I want to see him practicing catching balls

I… have no idea what is happening in this video.

He’s working on his cuts and vision, I guess. He’s really struggling. But that trainer doesn’t seem to be helping much on the video, either.

He’s also leaving the ball out and open. Trainer didn’t say a thing about that.

But I guess there’s a lot of context we don’t get. I wouldn’t have shared that to my socials. It was overly negative.

At one point a trash can made a tackle …

Jayden throws the ball well on out routes

Now this is the best video ever. I love positive energy. It shows that he would love no problem playing with and even behind Aiyuk, him and Jayden can probably help with Brandon's mental, and my favorite thing about him is that he's actually a great blocker which people underestimate in receivers

I don't have my hopes up but I'd be stokes if they signed him

I completely disagree. I love the video. I love to see someone working on something new and hard. First off it's March so it's great to see him working and I bet he will look much better in this drill by camp than he does now. This is how everyone starts at something.

I also love the coach. I don't want a bunch of yes men around. He's being coached hard and he's accepting hard coaching. That coach isn't cutting any corners. If it's not perfect then it's not good enough.

This is the hard work and dedication I want to see from my rookie, 7th round pick, going into year 2. He's not resting on anything. He's trying to get better and more agile at a fast speed. I honestly love it. Keep pushing yourself, Bill. The hard work will pay off.

It’s his job to work. Working in March isn’t special. It’s what he should be doing. You don’t get standing ovations for doing your job. And this isn’t new. It’s one drill of him running the ball. Which is his strong suit.

I’m glad you love the coach. I’m not sure where or how you got the impression that I want a yes man there. But it’s way off. I don’t think the coach is actually doing a whole lot of coaching here. Too wide, out of control, ball too far out. But he may actually be coaching off video besides repeating “TOO WIDE” and “TOO WILD” over and over on video.

So I’m not sure how you’re seeing a guy coaching perfection when so much is being missed.

This video should have been left off socials.

I really hope he’s not paying that guy to train him, seems very amateur. A lot of grifters out there these days marketing themselves to the less connected and less wealthy players

I wonder if Bill gets a text from the team with some “coaching” about the coaching…..
