I think I get Peters. He has two or three guys he has as the most highly rated and is willing to bid on them, but if he doesn't get them then he isn't going to go down his list and find another player that is perhaps 85% of what his original target is in terms of age/upside/production.

He is going to take his marbles and go home.

He reminds me of a guy I went to high school with. He was really hung up on this girl and she and her boyfriend broke up before the prom so this friend then stepped up and asked her to go.

She said no. And instead of go with another girl that would have been pleased to go, he boycotted the event instead.

New schizo theory for the nutters in here to latch onto: AP knew firing Quinn after two years (and one year after an NFCCG appearance) would look bad to future HC candidates, and it was a poor year for offensive HC types. So he’s quiet quitting on Quinn instead. Sad!
