The 2026 Free Agency Thread

Listening to the callers for talk radio, lol, apparently the window is closed after 3 hours during day 1 in the tampering period.

Feels silly to me. If we are talking like this even tomorrow at 3 pm I get it. But heck we know they shot hard at 2 players who got 27-30 million and were willing to outbid the Colts. If anything that feels a bit reckless. But zero signs that they are being cheap thus far.
I didn't realize that, thought the window was until 4pm on the 11th. Is there a widow each day?

Hmmm wonder if when all these players agents are looking at their caller id, if APs number is coming up as potential spam so they aren't answering

The Rams were in the NFC championship game and have Stafford on a professional quarterback contract and yet they seemingly have an endless amount of money to spend in free agency and trades.

McDuffie and his new contract. Then there was Watson and his new contract. Now a tight end.

Meanwhile, Washington has barely made a ripple.

let's all remember that Washington was 5-12 and has to do BETTER than other teams to get better and compete at a higher level.

instead it appears we are getting weaker.

Peters got outbid (thankfully) on Phillips and Pierce. Those were his top two targets this offseason? Yikes.

Maybe Harris is going the same route that the owner in the movie Major League was going. Wants to make the team as bad as possible by not getting any talent so he can move the team.

Giants have gotten better today. Impact player on both sides of the ball. They will have Dart throwing to Nabers and Skatteboo back next year as well. Concerning first day of FA so far for me.

This just isn't true.

With the same coaches - you are right.

If you believe your talent was poorly utilized, you are wrong.

I'm not saying you're wrong, and I'm not even at this point saying I have tons of hope or anything; just pointing out, with new coaches, you can't say that we absolutely need improvement. They completely changed the coordinators, for good or ill.

I often wonder if the whole point of the salary cap is propaganda for cheap teams and owners so their fans will debate the merits of it endlessly and not give up and dump season tickets and the two dozen networks you now need to watch the games.
