Right, sure, and how it looks now will change as FA evolves, but there's finite resources so, sure, paying a B level player A level money ain't great, but considering you need to add LG/WR/RB/TE/DE/LB/CB/S/K adding C to that pile is not great.

Vaguely reminds me of Conerly last year instead of, say, Ezeiraku. I get the logic of getting a really good RT instead of relying on Coleman to develop, but there's a point where you potentially end up too clever by half. The choice likely works out, Conerly really flashed in the 2nd half of last year and locking down bookends is huge, but on the whole, it's hard not to speculate how big the delta between Conerly and Coleman would actually have been.

Right, and that's partly why I'm hoping it was a planned June 1st cut to maximize the cap savings, and then maybe allocate that into extending a player/players once June hits. That would make the most sense for the move overall, and would probably justify the series of events that has unfolded.

He purged, he used to have a ton. He’s already close to 1000 again since you posted this. I had to check it’s really him but somehow I’m still following him after he deleted his account, blocked a ton of people and then reactivated.

He’s annoying but a real insider who has about a 60% hit rate and deletes the misses. Bigger national reporters were posting about him the other day, saying that NFL people were trying to figure out who he is (the leading random twitter theory is that he’s related to an agent or a GM and not himself anyone important)

But he’s hit on some big ones in the last two years
 
I think signing Linderbaum means you can get away not signing a RB or WR in the top group, in theory you fortify the line to the extent where the holes are bigger to through and JD has more time in the pocket to pass down field.

Ideally you solidify the line and fill holes at RB and WR, not sure we have the money to do so at all spot, plus also rebuilding an awful D

The main criticism has been the timing. They could hold on to him and know if they could get better or worse first

It the spreadsheet of options shows them getting better overall with many scenarios though, they did something player friendly because the arrow was pointing strongly in one direction (release). Theory.

AP is going to have to start earning these mental gymnastics!

Supposedly he nailed all the Cowboys moves way before anyone else last season (Micah trade, Pickens, etc).

So him saying they've got Hendrickson most likely means it's done.
 
I am leaning more toward Doubs or Jennings than I am Pierce I think. Jennings is growing on me--very much a Pierre Garcon type of signing, I think. Let LMC be that deep threat, two-trick pony.

Not much Oweh mentions from him, but I think he throw his name out there in the mix of others on a podcast or article.

If we are going purely on Keim: Jalean Phillips, Aiyuk are a given they'd chase. As for WRs, more mentions of Shaheed, then Jennings. Then Doubts. And maybe Pierce. So lol, in short they want one of the big names.

Not coming hard at CB as to names but some mentions of A. Taylor and J. Dean. Edge after Phillips from what I recall most mentions of Mafe. Maybe kick the tires on Hendrickson. Okonkwo at TE but won't overpay.

On a segment today he mentioned, Walker, Dowdle, Allegeir. I watched a fan thing that Standig did last night and he's hearing they aren't chasing Walker. So the divide if I recall between Standig and Keim are: Walker. And Standig doesn't think they puruse Aiyuk if they sign another WR. Keim thinks they will do both unless that WR is Pierce.

On Linderbaum he said on the Junkies he hears mixed things as to whether they pursue him.
 
Call me insane but I am extremely happy that Dallas and Philly got Hendrickson and Phillips. I don't think that either are worth the money and was scared that we would over pay

Don't love Dallas with Hendrickson, their D line is a force with him, one of the best in the league.
 
I haven’t heard much on Devin Llyod lately. He is probably my #1 target. Need to vastly improve that Defense today!

Brother we’ve had tens of millions in cap space go unspent every year now for a while. Huge amounts of cap space. I think we’d be better off “overpaying” for some talent rather than celebrating that our rivals might, potentially, some day find themselves in cap hell after their owners die
