Also, dropping his number from $7.2m likely means he's not the starting C, but he will be competing for the job. If this front office has shown, it's that they're going to invest in the O-line, and they're going to continue to work it as things go on. I would argue its the one position group that they've heavily invested in with money, draft picks, and trades. Paul was one of the few carry overs from the previous regime, i dont' think that's an accident. They signed Biadasz in their first offseason, traded for Tunsil, drafted Coleman and Conerly, have now worked deals with Wylie and Allegretti. It's had more attention than any other position group, and the only one that has come even close may be the D-line.
