First off 'There's no doubt...' followed by 'might be' is such a contradiction it's not even funny. They're complete opposites.

Also, dropping his number from $7.2m likely means he's not the starting C, but he will be competing for the job. If this front office has shown, it's that they're going to invest in the O-line, and they're going to continue to work it as things go on. I would argue its the one position group that they've heavily invested in with money, draft picks, and trades. Paul was one of the few carry overs from the previous regime, i dont' think that's an accident. They signed Biadasz in their first offseason, traded for Tunsil, drafted Coleman and Conerly, have now worked deals with Wylie and Allegretti. It's had more attention than any other position group, and the only one that has come even close may be the D-line.

If Allegretti is competing with anyone to be the starting Center, then they’ve unintentionally shot their own OL-building efforts (which you laid out well) in the foot. They need to bring in someone who is obviously better than Allegretti or we’re in trouble

Doesn’t need to be Linderbaum, that’s unreasonable. But it needs to be someone better than Allegretti (and obviously better than Biadasz as well, or they’ve hurt their own OL for some cap rollover they won’t use)

He was one of my favs on the draft thread the year he came out. But I'd be surprised if they chase a slot WR like him over a Z (outside WR)

I like Robinson, and I’d take him over a bunch of available tier 3 types

But I do wonder how many snaps we can expect a 5’8” slot WR with low ADOT to play, given our stated goals to go heavier (generally meaning more TE’s and less 3+wide sets)

Not wrong, but i don't think the idea of re-working Allegretti's deal locks him in as the future starter. Abraham's tweet just sounded goofy to me saying "I have no doubt" then following it up with "Might" lol. I do absolutely think Allegretti is in the fold, but I don't think it's a foregone conclusion.

yeah and i'm as equally confused with the move with Biadasz myself... but clearly there's more to it than we all know. It could be an elaborate plan, or it could be as simple as they're working on the offensive game plan, and a guy like Coleman or Allegretti are a better fit at C in Blough's offense... i don't know. I just don't think these guys are in the business of intentionally lessening the team. This move will be followed by a corresponding move, that move may be Allegretti, but i also don't think that's a lock, we could very well see more.

Derek - no ever is in the business of intentionally lessening their team - but it happens all of the time. It's called miscalculation and making bad decisions. I agree that we have no idea what they are thinking with the Biadasz move or what the plan is. It may be fine. But that doesn't mean it's going to work out and/or make us better.

If it was 'just to be nice' because he wants to start, I have a major problem with that mindset.

Question on TE's and Isiah Likely. The board seems to like him overall. A top FA priority.

He is more of an F-TE. Better utilized as a receiver but runs a 4.8 at 245 lbs.

Smaller TE's seem to be viewed somewhat negative in that they tip the had of the offense somewhat. Even if they are willing they are just average at best in the run game, and so they better be pretty dang good as a receiver or why not just put a WR on the field?

So if your a Likely fan how do you see his skill set and why do you like the fit? And do you like Kenyon Sadiq as a consolation if the draft doesn't fall as we might hope? Is Sadiq a ++ Likely?
